  1. Plugging in wires being an "installer" doesn't make you right What the heck though... (4) 1/0 gauge inputs?
  2. But you're also biased lol Ported > sealed.

  5. Go active and beat all Focals $10K passive systems.
  6. Where does the suspension compliance factor in, or become a significant factor? Ever? Geez I need to take some physics courses, this is good stuff.

  12. Lets be realistic here Duran. Two CVX 10"s on 1200 watts. Highlighted for emphasis
  13. 150's are possible with two 10's, heck with a single 8" if you know what your doing.

Exactly. OP: I put one of my 6.5's in my trunk free air, and ran it on my 3000D and put up this:
  15. So you have a D2 Q? What is your amp wired to, 1 or 4 ohms? Try wiring to 4 ohms, as that will help with heat and your electrical system a lot.

Have you ever seen an inexperienced user that just decided to play a test tone sweep, turn his subwoofer level up, turn his enclosure around and put up over one hundred and fifty decibels? Seriously? I honestly wish it was that easy, but get this, that;s why so many people make it a goal, because it really is that hard to achieve. It doesn't just "happen" like the OP's situation.
  17. A larger alternator will not fry your electronics, it will merely output more amps than your stock alternator. If you plan on upgrading at all, get a bigger alternator, if you plan on sticking with that amp get a bigger battery, replace the one under the hood with a better battery or get a bigger Kinetik for the rear, both if you want. Nothing wrong with extra power.
  18. Getting warm is normal, but clipping will cause thermal failure of your woofer. Your amplifier sends a square signal to the woofer, not a sine wave, when it does not have the necessary power your telling it to amplify (with the volume knob).
  19. A stock battery, and an HC 600 really aren't enough for a 2,500 watt amp. I'm surprised your Q isn't dead from clipping yet.
  20. Stock battery as well? How big is your alternator?
  21. Tiny magnet? That's a .75" slug with a heavily bumped back plate.
  22. What does your electrical system consist of?
