We do not discourage everyone using the Q. The Q is a marvelous driver, the reason most people are not Q buyers is because the Q is not designed for loud, it is not made to be loud. People look at the power handling of the Q and BL, as well as the xmax and buy the Q because they think it is superior, they also see that the Q is cheaper and think they are getting a good deal. In a direct swap, in a ported enclosure built for a Q, the BL and BTL would be louder 99% of the time. That is why we recommend a BL and BTL over the Q because they are made to be loud, they do not sound bad by any means, but they are designed to generate more sound pressure. /rant -
Second that. As well as ditch the rears and invest more money in the front.

The last time I checked amplifiers consumed power, not created it Why would I ask if you can fit another amplifier when you are asking for charging system advice?

For my D3100 it wasn't, although I didn't expect it for a 83lb. battery.
You won't be doing just a recone, you'll be doing a rebasket as well! That's a little more difficult.

before I asked if they needed breakin and you answered that they do not. How is it that these don't need breakin and 1508 need to be broken in for about a month before going all out? Because DD is full of it.

I actually thought you came up with that yourself Ken! I was about to be VERY impressed! OP: You can get extra spiders on a Nightshade, it makes the suspension stiffer to increase mechanical power handling.
The problem arises when motors are shipped already attached to the basket. It just doesn't work to have 60 or so lbs. dangling from the top of the shipping carton, that's why TC ships all their woofers in two parts.
