Rockford Amp Problems
If you want to get them fixed db-r.com does an excellent job on repairing amps. Sounds like they have been pushed to hard in the past or under their ohm load, but something inside is damaged causing them not to live up to their capabilities. Just my .02 Shady people..x2 contact db-r When I got the amps from him the gains an bass boost were all the way up he had them runnin 4 power dvc tens so that may have mest them up the way he was using them. Signs he was a dumbass

Nightshade v.2 Teaser Picture
How did you get the Fs so much lower than the V1? That's really impressive because thats right where I like my music. Also, with a higher Vas than the V1 how much more volume will these need?

Are your numbers 14 and 43 a typo or what are you talking about? The 14 is either supposed to mean 140 or 14*

Well the low tuning I recommended will give you all that flex, I don't have much more to add. It being a new woofer there aren't tons of reviews about them, but everyone that does own one is very pleased.

You can private message SSAudio, his name Is Mark LaFountain and he runs the company. Here are some builds/reviews: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/index.php/customer-rides/ssaudios-builds/gabs-bagged-300.html http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/index.php/customer-rides/alans-mazda-xcons.html http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/index.php/customer-rides/casflans-dodge-ram-xcon.html http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/index.php/customer-rides/acex3as-builds/acex3as-2-xcon-18s.html http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/index.php/customer-rides/ssaudios-builds.html All of those people are members on here you could contact for further information. Fi also makes an excellent product, and your right grouping the Q and ICON together, the only difference when it comes to the XCON is the power handling, at 1750 watts rated it takes quite a lot more power compared to the 1000 watt rated Q and ICON.

I'm not associated with Sound Solutions Audio, no. You can't find many reviews because it's a newer subwoofer. There are several XCON owners on this forum you could talk too, would you like to contact them?

How to recognize a good SQ amplifier?
You can't go wrong with Sundown. Not to sound pompous, or full of ourselves here, but before you buy, ask us here. We won't try to peddle you a product, or give you false information. A bunch of good guys here. Cheers!

wiring active help
yes they do Then you can't do active. Unless you cut the crossover out. Right. If you hook them up to your amp that would be passive. In order to do active you remove the crossover and hook up each speaker to a separate channel. You can only have 4 speakers with that amp. Head Unit --> Crossover --> Amplifier --> Speakers per speaker correct? You won't need an external crossover with that amp, it has all the needed crossover settings built in. so i should just run the front with the amp and the rear 6X9 from the deck? would you run the system passive or active? Ditch the rears. For you I recommend passive.
