Trying to resist buying another pair of cans...my index finger REALLY wants to do some clicking!
  2. Not you, just don't wanna piss off any nutthuggers If you are in the game for SPL, or a substage that will bang out some upper 40 hz. frequencies pretty hard, get DD. Also, if you are looking at Fi woofers comparable, it'd be the N3, not the N2.
  3. To avoid anyone being insulted, I'll just say what I know about them. Fairly strong motors, short coils, TONS of laminated spiders (I dissected a 3500, and it had six laminated spiders, which were extremely brittle, that's just a drawback of that type of spider, they dryrot) direct leads, and ultralight cones, that's about all there is, the technology behind them is very old for a subwoofer, nothing special.
  4. Q's are amazing, why the long face?!
  5. Depends on the capabilities of your battery and alternator, the battery will pick up the slack from your alternator, if it's not able to handle the current draw you'll start burning stuff.
  6. BTL 18", yet to be given any juice, in the process of installation.
  7. It could be 5 as well, they recently started using different spiders, if I recall they are using more than they used to. My BTL has 7 spiders.
  8. Should be a 3 spider pack, I'll let Nick chime in though, just to be sure.
  9. They still make those BlackBerry dinosaurs?
  10. They were never really "out" of business, they are still trying to work out things with TC Sounds, so it's best to look for something used.
  11. Moderators typically do not respond in quote threads; unless we notice something wrong, in that case we would inform you.
  12. Bad Rabbits Sextape (Deftones cover) I'm psyched to see these guys on Warped Tour

haha. I added my facebook account to mine and it automatically synced profile pics from fb to contacts, pretty nice if you ask me X2.
  14. Where is the deadening? Say good bye to all your midbass since the doors are open baffle...
  15. 3Kw is too much for BL's and XCON's, look into BTL's as previously stated.
  16. Sure it is logical if the only thing you want in your vehicle is a box. That isn't practical for the majority of car audio enthusiasts. There are many downsides to having a huge box in your vehicle IMO. You just contradicted your whole post there, I'm thinking about buying a vehicle just to wall it, for audio only.
  17. I larger enclosure increases efficiency, it's only logical to fill up the space he has available, there is no downside.
  18. Duran: Is your vehicle posted anywhere? Never seen it before, just curious, with you having a n3 and all, would like to see what you decided to do with it, and with whatever else you may have. That is of course if you don't mind. It's secret for now, it'll be posted in time
  19. Remember, the US is 26 times the size of Japan, and 73% of Japan is unusable for agriculture and residential use, the US has a LOT more roads to maintain.
  20. I've had my N3 for a few weeks, no metal shavings, dried glue, or anything abnormal with it.
  21. I've heard the second one described as a 'folded horn', or a 'tapered horn'.
  22. Depends if he selected "Send Sub In" or not.
  23. I'm no EE, but ff they are both EXACTLY 1Kw, and distortion levels are equal, they should sound the same.
  24. Not a 6th order with the driver radiating directly into the listening space. A 6th order bandpass would have two independent and tuned chambers. That enclosure looks like a single enclosure volume with two separate tuning frequencies. You caught me before my ninja edit, I didn't see the larger chamber opposite the woofer.
