  1. yes potentially free stuff!
  2. why can't you do a single 15" most 15s will work well in 3.5 cubes ported and they will get you your low lows.
  3. ^^ your crossover point will be different for each install. and even still the crossovers have slopes so when you lp your subs at 60hz they will play well above that.
  4. the idea is pretty cool but they are fugly.. i guess the looks depenps more on the wheel though.
  5. used stuff is the way to go 500$ goes a long way .
  6. y not port them?
  7. i'm biased but my system is truely impressive. 3-8" subs 1500w hitting 144.1db and extremmmly musical. but recently a buddy of mine hit 141db with 2 12" type r's running 1000w in prefabbed boxse.
  8. gotta love free stuf
  9. no pics yet but my setup consist of samsung hpt5054 plasma denon avr-987 athena ws100 front lr infinity tss750 5.1 system htpc w/ hddvd&bluray
  10. i was adjusting things on my treo ssx250.2 amp and noticed their is an audible noise coming from the amp. sounded almost as if the internals were squeaking to the music. thing is i don't htink it' s the amp i replaced the treo temporally with a us amps amp and it did it also . i'v enever seen or heard this in the past anybody know what the problem could be?
  11. i always enjoy blasting some off the wall stuff at stops lights like thriller don't stop belevin the macarena etc.
  12. yea for an 18" 2 6" ports should work out perfectly.
  13. what's the budget?
  14. technically your hu could power your bl, gotta give a few more details.
  15. it really depends on what u plan on doing with the system . like kinetik said the small batteries will be better for instant power bc of their lower internal resistance but when it comes to prolonged play they can't sustain thier output. so if you plan on burps go with more smaller batts, bace race mix of large/small, playing with car off big batts all the way
  16. or .5 ohm(even though u lose ur warranty). sundown ftw
  17. ^ and that's the other part of it. most of those same people who preach about American jobs will protest, kick and scream if prices of goods are increased to pay the American workers a decent wage. but this is kinda going into politics, international trade, etc. so i'll stop. great amps designed by americans built by Koreans
  18. i think it depends a little more on set and install. the difference in cone area between a 5.25 and a 6.5 isn't huge. get a decent set of components deaden the doors behind the speaekr and around the mounting area and you should be ok.
  19. yea i think it's funny people still have the racist stigma that everything not made in America is crap. a solder joint is a solder joint even if it's from a sweatshop . the biggest thing is quality control if every amp is bench tested and inspected before it leaves why not use the billion+ people and get the labor cheaper?
