the W6v1... wtf i just found out they are dual 6 ohm? oh wait... another site says dual 4 ohm?? how the hell do you wire a dual 6 ohm sub ok encountered a very early problem... the 187's are d 2ohm vc the W6's are d 6ohm vc

i need the specs on the old school 12w6... this show down will be going down in a couple days.. i'm betting my friend 10 bux that the 2 10s i'm getting are going to be louder than his 2 12s... i'll be using a self made ported enclosure... (if all goes well) he'll be using a prefab sealed enclosure... we are going to be using my amp as is has as much power as we would dare send to the speakers. both will see their rms both will see their max... i'm not sure if we are going to go over that we'll see how the max goes first... (yah i'm a wuss) we will have an uninformed judge to give us by ear results... showdown sometime this week...

i'll go with your suggestion for 37 hz. i'm anxious to see what you have for me and i do wish you'd be on aim more often i would still like to know the equation that you use to figure the tuning design. i checked that website that tells you everything. but i couldn't find any helpful information on the subject for myself. i'm planning on doing all the construction myself and i'm also going to redesign a box for the h2 seeing as this one has severe water dmg and the sealent has leaked out of the bottom cornor. and i'll soon have a new car to play with for awhile.

i can design a sealed box fine. but how do i add the port? i cannot figure this part out!! especially when using 2 woofers and putting the port in the center. or even putting the port at one end or the other if anyone can give me some simple directions or a link to some i would greatly appreciate it

how much volume do you think a 28 hz port will take up? for external measurements as of now i'm looking at h - 14 w -13 l- 34.5 thats 2.5ft^3 before sub displacement. after 2.41 now i have to figure out how to port and thats where i need you expert advice good sir

i believe i'm gonna need a small ported box for my new 10" 187s i may go to the local dealer and just buy a prefabed though depending on price he wants to try to rape me with so what you think on a small box to specs 28hz? with correctly cut baffles

its all cool i was planning on getting a new box anyway... now i have an excuse... but i mean if you wanna replace it i wanted to get it ported so with 2 tones so i could plug one and then use one if i decide to compete. which i'd like to try this year.

ok... update... bottom and back of the box were soaked all the way through wood is definatly warped... the cut out from the sub was a little too big. due to some bad drilling on my part i can't use all the skrew holes. due to the round basket and the extreme weight of the h2 i have a nice air leak at the top of the cutout. conclusion... weight till summer. get new car. get new box. my expression... expect some in the box port sometime tomorrow...
