if your goal is to have great sound quality just use the 12w6v2. if you want more volume use the 18. also the w6 wont take 1150w

Did I make a mistake with the 15" BL's?
if it sounds muffled turn it around and seal it off.

What do I have here? MD23 or MD22?
did you test the output. per channel at 4ohm you will either get 6 or 9 volts output. 2 ohm i believe is 12 or 15v per channel. bridged at 4ohm is the same 12 or 15v.

I know people are tired of me posting stuff but i got a couple more qu
if the boxes for both are ideal the 12's should be louder. doubt it will be noticeable anywhere but the mic though.

Prototype "SA" Series
looks like a perfect alternative to the overhyped type r. i would love to see a drop in comparison.

try testing output with that big a diffrence it should be easy to tell with just a sine and a volt meter.

anyone know about them or have used them. 4400amp short circuit max discharge rate at 2 mins 591amps (7500+w). float voltage 13.4-13.8v should handle 30sec burps good. only $180

any thoughts on the datasafe hx300. it looks like a great choice for street a and i found a great price on them.

Is this too big??
for low notes the large boxes are great tune low and setup your ssf correctly and you should be fine even with decent power. tuning and up should not have a problem if you dont have a good ssf filter set correctly and you go below tuning boom the sub will bottom out fast on decent power.

Need help with set-up ideas
so your friend has 2 15's and a 3kw amp so what. doesnt mean it will be loud or sound good or be reliable. what type of vehicle is it in how large is the box how is it setup whats the tuning and how is his electrical. just because he has power and decent sized subs doesnt mean it is anywhere near what it could be. for all we know you could out do him with a 10 and 500w in the right setup in the right vehicle.

Difference in Subs?
what do you plan on using for a box sealed or ported. if you choose sealed id go with the q10 it has more linear throw making it slightly better for the lowend output being clean. if you go with ported go with the icon slightly stronger motor in its ideal box should have slightly more output. both subs are great subs as far as quality and output so either choice is a good one.

Does this program work?
i would use 4 6in or more 4 4in is not enough for 4 15's if you use 4in id use 8. if you want to compete id also try a higher tuning around 36hz. 8 4in tune around 36 is 13in

SPL DAILy?
if your talking about fi its a tighter gap for more motor strength but it can ruin the coil from music because of coil wobble.

Will this box design help me at all
plywood might be stronger but it is more flexible not a good thing try bracing a sheet of mdf and a sheet of plywood at the ends and stand in the middle the plywood will bend more. the flexability in plywood is also part of what makes it stronger.

PORT HELP!
its a good size its only 5x10 the length though depends on what you tune to.
-
Clean LOUD bass help
box positioning will also have a noticeable effect. just did an install for a friend made a custom box for his 2 12 type r's subs and port same side firing back in his liberty sounded good but wasnt that loud turned the box up and is was much louder.
-
How do i make room for subs?
you could put a cap on it remove the back window and blow it threw there eventually when you sell it just put the window back in.

Walling off blazer, ported or 4th bandpass?
if you can fit a 12 cu keep the 2 15 ported and tune to 24hz that will get you a flat response -3db at 21hz. you will still get a little bump around vehicle freq you can eq that out. and some deadener will help lower the vehicle freq a little. the tight punchy sound i find it more in small high tuned boxes. flat setups usually have a smooth mellow sound. 2 18 bl's in 12 cu tuned to 36hz should be tight and punchy and get decently loud.

second 1200.1?
strapped at .5 ohm i dont think the amps will handle .25ohm daily. you could rewire to 2 ohm and get about the same power now just be a little easier on you electrical and the amps.

do you know anything about the nsb75. its not designed for the car audio market but it is popular for a reason.
