Also it is rather nice to listen to bass without peakyness. So at high levels my ears still hurt, the pressure is unreal, and is vibrates the houses all around me. This is something that will not be played loud when I am in the drive way.

Ok overall first thoughts were holy shit my window is going to blow out! I know over time these stiff bitches will loosen up and sound even better. I am going to add some poly fill and Aaron will chime in there, I hope. I still have to get the carpet and add some mass to my back wall, but I will save that for another day.

Thanks, if you look I always mount them on rubber grommets. Helps with vibration and leaves a small gap for air flow.

I do have plenty of room to go ported if I should change my mind, but for now I want to try sealed with large cones and high xmax.

Thanks. The saltwater job started out as a teaching lesson, but ended up wow if we pay you can you keep it looking like that. I would like to go to Carlisle, but with work and traveling I am not sure at this time. Those JL's are my son's speakers and they are about is old as he is.
