  1. 13.2 isn't low at all with my heat on my truck drops to 12.x HO alts suck at low rpms, but 13v is nothing to be worried about. get a smaller pulley to fix the problem, unless your car is pcm controlled alt, then you have to go buy some other stuff, but figure that out first and we can go from there.

  4. my brother has a 09 lexus gs. I dont know what the door speakers are but thiers a 8 inch sub and it makes a world of difference. He turned it up and i was pretty surprised at how loud and clear it was. But anyway, i had the cheaper 8" cdt subs in my doors and they were ok. I upgraded to the crescendo 8"s and they seem to have a little more low end. Take it for what its worth, but im no SQ guy by all means.
  5. man its good to shop around lol. Pierce sent me these pics of the cone. PSI sent me this. sounds pretty awesome Pierce wants the same amount reg, for psi's with all the addons. and FI is still the cheapest tho, like 300$ less than both companies. I can hard wire the sub on my own which is what I did with the last 2, but coming from the tinsel and not the lead wire itself.

  7. well you could always run a wire from you + and - to the sub and see if it moves. Will tell you if you sub is blown or not.
  8. cant decide if i want Fi Recones or Teampsi recones. They are the same for the most part, but psi claims they can increase the power handling. Im interested in how because the only thing i see them doing is adding some spiders to stiffen the suspension.. Thoughts?
  9. man what happened to the days of 350$ being a top of the line sub. 1200$ + smh my heart and wallet start to hurt when I look at some of this stuff, almost makes 8 10's sound reasonable.
  10. I dont like circuit breakers. But its your system and your car, so however you want to protect it is up to you.
  11. well whine is usually power wires to close to rca's or bad ground near amp. Amp going into protect could be low voltage, check ur voltage at ur amp and see if it matches what ur reading up front.

My MT caught fire this past summer, no idea were it sparked up at, was playing and then i could smell smoke, turned it off but it kept getting stronger, till im driving on the highway and see a burst of flame coming from the cone, yea not good and looked alot worse lol. glad to know im not the only pyro on the forum oh yeah and my tinsels sandwitched between spider.

  17. when i first started i cut all my pieces with a jigsaw It took like a whole day to make 3 cuts lmao
  18. IDK everytime i go in they cut all of my outer pieces for me. Top, bottom, sides, back, front. Usually pretty accurate depending on whos working i suppose. You can look at the tape measure when they cut it to be sure, or if they dont cut it right tell them and they will have to scrap it and cut you another piece.
  19. Hook it directly to a battery if you can. Power and REM together and - to Ground If it goes into protect its likely blown.
  20. Depending on your wire ur not gonna be able to pull the max amount of current anyway. I think 25ft of 1/0 is like 400A. But you would be fine with 300A IMO given eff. I found tis to be pretty helpfull and funn if you want to deal with numbers...
  21. Well its freaking 4deg here and my batteries dont like it. Well i hadn't driven in 3 days because i was on my bike, lol, but got in the truck today and i was at 12.1v Not to mention a sticking thermostat that did open up till on the highway and went from C-H in 2 secs smh Def need to start leaving my bat charger hooked up in the winter, i bet now my bikes battery is bad since i didn;t take it back out...lol always something
  22. Seeming is im always changing my system and never really have alot of pics to show for it. And everyone else has logs but me, i'll see what i can cognac up.(See what i did there) Will try this in chronological order here When i first got it and fixed the rear axle, notice the non painted bumper and steps. Alarming it up, need some new fobs, but dont want to pay 100$ when i can just buy a new alarm for that much. Stock radio still lol, If the alarm does go off umm sometime in 2010 is what the upload says so i guess that's when i did this. Its finished now tho. oldies The basket loosened from the magnet Boxes are huge Diff batt setup now 2/13/12 Progressed to changing my alt pulley thanks to singer. nikki minaj 3/413 Finally took the subs out. One looks absolutely fine, but is reading 0ohms on both coils, so i assume the tinsel broke in the spider, since the coil looks fine. As for the other fire breathing sub, i got some pics of the spider. Coil is fine on this one too.. No more integrated lead for me. 3/6/13 Got the other cone off today actually looked just fine. When i pushed the cone all the way up, i could get it to read some funky ohmage, but i think it was just aligned wrong and some CA glue got on the pole. Im assuminng thats what this gunk is inside the coil and well as that scratch/rubbing mark Babies need some TLC x 10 ....CA glue all in the gap. Plan on repainting the baskets and getting a dremmel to shine these motors back up. didn't realize they were that bad until i looked at the other 2 i just bought. lol Videos not showing up?check out the page http://www.youtube.com/user/djjdnap?feature=watch
