i'm not going to be that technical wt u, but if u have the space for it, go with 2 subs. I think the Btl's are rated at 2000w a piece anyway, 4000w to 1 daily sounds not good to me. But what do i know
  3. if u have photoshop, it comes with a program called image ready. Basiclly u play the movie/pause/screen capture/play/screen capture/ ect and u paste all of those into the image ready program, cut off the excess, set the timing of the gif save and ur done.
  4. aaa just need an amp, ridin around wt my crap amp on full, sounds like i got some nice 6x9's, lol
  5. i guess this answers whether or not to fuse the ground cable, lmao
  6. Some inspiration to start me off Lowes precut pieces The fat man glue, The st part of the box Fitting for teh next part Yea it might work Took the trunk off the ride to make it fit better ewww, its lookin pretty tight, had to take the tension bars off the trunk, gave me about 3 more inches(not shown) Buildin the next piece went to the club for teh moment coming together, pretty nicely for a test fit dad wanted in on the action, so he cut them out for me looks like they fit The sub easy config painted it black waitin for the glue to dry In the car at last, that thing was a B I Itch to install Was a bit confused at first, lol, forgot to wire across to teh other vc, lol About 6am Took the brake light out as well Some asian girl i work with, lol
  7. just hook the speakers up to an amp and run RCA's no need for any useless wires, all u need is power and ground But the oem wires should still all be there, im kinda lost?
  8. I got a kinitik and oddysey but yea they are both beast. The kinetik has more cca's though. Also u might need a new alt unles su get alot of batts. Some amps dont like low voltage...aka orions, well the one i had.
  9. why in all these blown threads the poster only has like 5-10 post total, mostly from there own thread?
  10. Ok so i'm pretty much done wt my box, will post pics soon enough, but. I'm not going to be able to reach my subs, once done, so if i connect each + and - to a bolt and nut on the box, that should work just fine correct? I'm sure i've seen it done before. I just would rather not run long lengths of wire to the amp.
  11. were's the titanium dome? lol
  12. I know partsexpress usually has everything u could ever want.

well that is just a ruff sketch to let u know that its ported, lol. I like flaks idea with the ports going next to the subs. TO me it was more like the subs wouldnt be moving any air into the box.
  14. think of it like, 2000w x 4 v 3500w x 2 or something to that effect
  15. power comes in and power leaves. The bigger wire is better regardless, it would have the same effect if u put it on teh pos.
  16. djjdnap replied to djjdnap's topic in General Audio
but i like the way u think. yea the red part is the car outside, grey is basiclly the inside lining of the car and the black part is the box

Not sure if this will work or not, i'm scared that the subs won't move the air into the box. And yes it is a tight space. Im just going to take out the 6x9's and leave the metal sheeting but have the holes there. My main concern is the box though. Would it even be a point in porting it and if so where? Plan on starting this later today, or whenever i get some wood. or maybe angled like this

hmmm, i dont think an xxx can handle 2700watts daily. edit, well maybe it can lol haven't heard either so, idk, but for the price i would go wt FI. If price is no issue, let other people put there 2c in first,.
  19. just like that, just ignore the ohm ratings on the pic or
  20. gorrla glue is ur friend, lol never tried elmers, i guess i'll try that on my next box.
