  1. is the battery in the trunk? if not then just run the 1/0 guage from the positive (amp) to the bat and use like 1.5-3 foot (if you could spare) of the 1/0 and ground it in the trunk
  2. If your only using one of the ports then I would have to say go with the 6" port because of the port area 12.56^2 isnt enough for a 2.4^3 box
  3. well the 6" gives you more port area 28.26 ^2 to the 12.56^2 of the 4"
  4. i say 3 icon 12s on a 3000d. even though they are not for spl. Icons FTW
  5. You should check all the "Big Three" wires. If there not 1/0g then change them to it. That may solve the problem . but you are drawing alot of current(at least 200 amps) exspecially using that hifonics amp. So the extra battery is probably needed anyways.
  6. lower resistance = more pwoer to the subs
  7. well i would stay away from the PA. But what is your budget for an amp? And what options are you getting on the BTL? Because if you get the BTL fully loaded it can handle alot of power. both the AQ and RF are good amps but if your going fully loaded on the BTL you might want something bigger.

  15. Here is a handy little prog for finding out port length or tunning its from the incriminator audio website quick box elite
  16. 4 guage is good for your application but if you ever plan on upgradeing to more power I would go ahead and do it in 1/0 gauge. better to get it out the way now so you dont have to do the big three all over again.
  17. you mean 144sq in for the port area? if so that is way to much for a bl. unless its a 18" going into a 9 cu. ft box
  18. port width x port height
  19. the second battery still has to be charged by the same alt as the battery under the hood. so it adds more of a load for the alt. have you done the big 3? if not try that it may help.
  20. Thanks for the help guys. I'll be posting pics of my instal soon. get my Icon 15 on friday. Already got the sae 1000d and I'm building the box tomorrow.
  21. Ok I bought a 2nd battery for my car and wanted to know if it would be ok if i ran 0 guage from front bat positive to rear bat positive. and just ground the second battery in the trunk. I'm also doing the big three.
