  1. Even though their not meant to be an SPL or get insanely loud subwoofer. They do a great job of getting plenty loud and sounding great while doing it. And I only have 1 DCON 10"
  2. Not enough hype and fan boys from CrApCO? Exactly! Probably had bunch of boner's saying i"ll take one and then when the time came everybody backed out!

Exactly what do you mean by maxed out?
  4. Just rough math .... 30hz tuning looks to be 31.125" length. If you want 32hz you will need roughly 29" so take off 1.25"
  5. Does that amp have double inputs? If there are then I would run double due to the current draw!
  6. http://www.eclipse-w...vn7000spec.html 2V or 5V preamp output (with DCU105)
  7. I agree with this. But, like everyone else, I'm always wanting something new. I'd really like to try something from a company I've never used before, like Sundown, IA, SSA, etc. But, yes, the Shiva is probably one of my top 3 favorite subs ever. I'd like to try it ported, but if I remember correctly it takes a very large ported box. I hear you! If you pick between any of those companies you listed above your going to be happy. It' more like a toss a coin thing and what fit's your budget and goals! Start with subwoofer(s) and go from there! I prefer to start with my front stage first. Just my .02
  8. Short term burps vs daily music is quite different! Tone vs dynamic! I would say in a burp application maybe twice the rated rms and on music stay within what Fi recommends. But it really is a hard question to answer as all installs differ greatly.
  9. Upgrade your box! The Shiva is a great subwoofer and if built to recommended specs it should sound amazing.
  10. Shitcan the prefab and build your own box to Alpine ported specs and see how you like the output. I would hold off on buying anything more until your ready to put together the system you want.
  11. Congrats on the new bad ass subs!
  12. i found the link but when i click on it , it only shows me his vids. I cannot find it either!
  13. It's a 600 Watt RMS subwoofer. I would recommend IA box spec and tunining and run your amp at 2 ohm (dual 4 ohm version). Keep the boost off and be sensible with the volume knob. That woofer will get plenty loud in the right installation.
  14. X2 on "What equipment do you currently have"? That info will help us help you!
  15. Warm/hot is ok as long as you let the woofer cool down! Burnt smell is not!
  16. Really hard to say as it is install dependent and how smart the end user is with the volume control. Just stick to what Fi recommends and you should be safe. Check out the Technical section under the Fi forum.
  17. XCON!
  18. I use fuses as well. I read somewhere that everytime a (Car Audio Application) circuit breaker opens (Tripped) it get's weaker over time and becomes useless. http://www.bcae1.com/cirbrakr.htm a good read on Circuit Breakers
