I would stay within recommended specs. You could tune higher like 38 hz and increase box size to 2 - 2.25ft^3 but may sacrifice power handling and a little low end extension.

Can you use Sketchup? If so draw out some of the ideas you have and post them up. An 18" blow through is not impossible but will be tricky due to the hight of the truck bed and the subwoofer box.

It can, but what your trying to do with T/A is equalize the pathlengths of the left and right driver to reach your ears at roughly the same time.

Welcome to SSA ..... If the budget allows I would recommend the BL! Get the dual 2 ohm wire it parallel to run your amp at 1 ohm!

Personal preference from past experience with the Oz mid. I love the sound they produce on the male/female vox along with the snare drum. I used the Peerless 6.5" in a past install and liked the over all lower octave midrange/midbass frequencies it produced and felt the 8" would do a better job at midbass frequencies with the added cone size.
