My DCON is a dual 4 and they state dual 4 on the website!

The IA 187 would be the best fit for you! Single 4 ohm coils paralleled would yield a 2 ohm load. The DCON would work too but you would either have to run it at 4 ohm or 1 ohm mono! Know nothing about the other woofers. Maybe somebody else with knowledge on the others will chime in.

On the brass bolts the woofers are Dual 2 voice coils and wired separately to each bolt in a + - config. A lot easier to install and wire this way. Each bolt has a brass washer inside and out and 3 bolts each inside and out. Will never vibrate loose. Bed liner was bought at Menards and put on with a roller. Great durable stuff with no smell at all. But we let it cure for 5 days or so.

Really? These "this vs that" threads are worthless when comparing quality products such as Sundown and RF. Most of what I have heard is "I heard this about brand B" or "Brand A is overrated and not worth the money". Look at amps being compared and compare feature for feature. If it fits your budget and it's what your looking for then buy it. Everybody has an opinion and will suggest what they like. It's up to you to make the final decision on what you get. Sundown is a small company that prides itself on it's products, customers and customer service. Rockford Fosgate is a large corporation. They make great amps and the reputation over the years should explain that. Whenever I have needed help or had questions their Tech Dept was more than helpful. So toss a coin on which is better!
