  5. x2 Don has done the research and all the hard work.

Looking forward to these new amps!
  8. I would recommend 1.75 - 2.5 (per woofer) net volume including speaker, bracing and port displacement. I would tune around the 33-38hz range. You could do a single chamber box and create a L-shaped slot port.
  9. Have to love the haters! "walmart compasitor"?
  10. Look at re-grounding your head unit ground. Factory radio grounds have other items grounded to the same point and can create ground loops.
  11. I already used solar shield, this is going to be a repitive word game. this should be fun! My bad! I edited my post to reflect!
  12. Welcome ....
  13. Second Skin - Lava Block Second Skin - Glacier Skin
  14. Ah gotcha. That's probably why they get much louder at a mid-low frequency than a deep one. Well I'm definitely selling those, made a deal with a friend of mine. I guess I just need to figure out the pro's and con's between one 15" BL and two 12" SSDs. Any advice there is greatly appreciated! 12's. More power handling, head dissipation, cone area, motor force, and only $100 more than the 15" BL. X 2 The SSD is a very good woofer!
  15. Well in my old car (1991 oldsmobile cutlass, stock alt, no big 3) it wasn't loud enough. My friend threw my 15 and my US acoustics 800watt amp in his car and it's at least 35% louder if not more. The amp is a POS though, I won't get into that though. I will have to get you guys the measurements after work today. Just to throw a bit more in the mix, could I get away with 2 15's if I had something like the IA 187's? or as jay-cee said, stick with 2-12's or one fifteen? Here is a link to the likes of my amp http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/US_Acoustics_USX800F/ First off, you have a quality woofer. Put that in a properly designed ported enclosure to fit your vehicle and it should be more than enough. Do the big 3 to add to your stock electrical. Use a minimum of 4 gauge wire. Your amp is a well designed amp by a very reputable and well known engineer. Keep it! We can always suggest other products too. Btw, is your woofer dual 2 ohm or 4 ohm?
  16. Looks to be the back of a wall, with the amp and battery rack being designed?
  17. I would go with the Powermaster.
  18. Good choice on the Sundown SAZ-1000D!
  19. Now that is some very informative "real world" testing. Great job! Sundown FTW!
