What type of vehicle? Tune around 35-38hz and crossover around 80hz. In vehicle response and transfer function can boost the low end frequency even if you tune higher.

Actually the 4500D from Sundown maybe a bit overkill if your not competing. The 3500D might be a better fit. The new Crescendo's look like performers but have yet to read any reviews from the new Bass Clef series. AudioQue is another option to look into for a good value. Search the classifieds and see what is available as well.

i thought ssf was set 5 hz below? Yea it can go either way. +-. I will edit my thread.
Best advice would be to set the gain to minimum. Set your crossover frequencey (User Preference) then set the SSF filter to roughly + or - 5hz of tuning of the enclosure. Then adjust the gain and listen for stress on the sub. I normally use a very heavy bass track.
So should I go with The Z v2s or waait on the v3s if I`m looking for MORE output? Zv.2 motors are all sold out and the Zv.3 should be in by mid to late July. As far as output goes there will not be a big difference between the two versions.

Not sure why you want a sub woofer to handle mid bass, but you could cross the sub over at a higher frequency.
Up the budget a tad and take a look at these Scan-Speak is highly respected.

All the vendors here on SSA have multiple choices when it comes to budget, power etc. When it comes down to getting low and loud, install will be the biggest variable along with adequate electrical!
