Yeah no problem Q, I'll take them out and inspect. Like I said, for me, I couldn't hear it while playing, and as seen in the video, it's not all of them. In the video, it really doesn't sound like coil rub, it's making the same squeeking/crackling noise as when we tore out Nadcicle soft parts where they look/sound like potato chips.

Hey Q, just as an heads up. I'm not really sure if this is because of the first batch of spiders you've received or not. I just know it's kind of been an common thing now, at least between the subs I've owned, along with others I've communicated with. When you move the spiders in an up and down rotation, one at a time, you hear this funny noise. It's not audible during play, and it's not with every subwoofer. I know you've always taken good care of everyone, and don't mean this thread to come across negative. Just informative, as it could be something to look out for in regards for the October shipment. Agreed with Jay-Cee, I'm a fan of head room. I would get an amp that is "rated" at around 3,000rms for each 18" ethos. That way, in the real world, you should see around 2200 each. So that being said, you want something that is around 9krms. I do see you mentioned to buy a single amp now, then down the road to double it. If that is case, any of the amps you've listed will do the job fine. Flip a coin, and get what's in your budget.

Just came across this, it's an TRU Technology amplifier, up for sale for the low price of 2600$! Regardless, for us visual learners, is this what you meant by having the amplifier with only gain control on it?

Sorry for the lack of updates. Not much going on. Soon to start is testing on the meter, need to achieve an 160 at the headrest with 290 amps of fusing. As of late, my attention has been directed towards sq actually. Here's a random picture of Valerie, just because lol. I wish I had some more updates to offer. But honestly, as far as equipment is concerned, this build is pretty much complete at this point. Tridents are a bit out of budget, and this is loud as is. Next updates to follow will most likely be mechanical like engine work, exhaust, wheels and tires, that sort of thing. Will be coasting it out until world finals.

Nope. No info for several weeks. Motors will be here around 3rd week of October, then sample shipped for testing, then more information released.

My original goal was something sort of high...20k+ I guess budget and opportunity will be the deciding factors. Time is on my side for now. ..no rush for a while. you're gonna keep saying that until 4 weeks before slam !!!!! get on it !

It's coming good ! I made a big milestone last night, learning how to adjust the t/a and stage height. This is starting to become very fun for me. More tuning to come, but definately headed in the right direction.

I know I've begun testing out the good old SQ in my ride. Lee has been putting up big numbers in his ride, and the team is growing with quality members down south, which is also good.

Thanks a lot fellas !! If Teric would have brought out his burban, that would have been 3 oops 4 including his wife State Champions. All 3 of us will be switching to Tridents as well.
