Sub placement on baffle & port location
This sucks man, but I hate to tell you, lol. EVERY sub/port orientation will alter SPL response per vehicle. There is no clear cut way I can tell you, or anybody tell you, the best way. Hell, it can even change on the frequency played. It's just too many variation that NO software will be able to tell you. There is no formula that tells you an equation or algorithm that Subwoofer enclosure design #376 is the best enclosure for a 1997 Toyota four door Camry.

Sub placement on baffle & port location
as far as sub and port placement is concerned, this will very per vehicle. And I mean every vehicle. Not only vary by vehicle, but also by physical alterations to the vehicle. Example A: If in my SUV, I have Sub up and port back, I may find my highest score with the the rear doors open. But if I flipped the orientation, now my highest score may be with only the passenger front door open. I hope this makes sense.

Sub placement on baffle & port location
SPL testings have shown increase in DB's by having Slot port on one side. For aero ports, increase pressure from having it centered as possible (away from any near walls). great drawings btw lol

Mechanical Noise from Head Unit
So I have a very annoying problem and need some advice on how to address it! It seems that I have some serious static noise from the radio. I've done some intensive testing over the weekend, and come to one conclusion. Is that the noise is coming directly from the radio itself. I will list some of the things I've done over the weekend to come to this conclusion. Swap the amplifier for a known good amplifier, problem presist Swap radio with known good radio, problem goes away Swap my rca's into a known good amp(different vehicle), problem goes away Swap rca's from known good radio from another vehicle into my radio, problem is now in that vehicle Ground rca to headunit chasis Wire my radio directly to power and ground of front battery (turn on/constant/ground), problem presist Wire my radio directly to power and ground of rear battery bank of known good vehicle, problem presist Install/uninstall relay The symptoms Constant static noise from radio, that's with car ON and OFF Pop from subwoofer when radio turns off When I hit eject, I hear noise coming from subwoofer When I accelerate, noise reacts with engine/alternator Things I've noticed I've had this issue every since replacing factory radio. Had the issue with the Pioneer 4300dvd, the currently installed Clarion nx702, did not have this issue with older single din alpine, the tested known good radio over the weekend was a modern kenwood, no noise with it installed in my car. Since installation number one, The driver side horn/radio are the ones to always blow and the noise seems to always be more amplified from that side Options I've been given so far Install a 12volt filter, not sure the cons/benefits of this Install ground loop insalator, not sure the cons/benefits of this Return radio under 90 day warranty My personal thoughts I believe the noise I'm hearing is mechanical. I believe the static noise is coming from the on-board fan inside the radio, this would go with also why I'm hearing noise from subwoofer when hitting eject or turning radio off So if anyone has had any kind of similar issues, please advise omg !! lmao

wall in 04 gmc seirra
I like the cardboard idea. Just know, a wall takes a lot of freaking work, time, and money. It's an huge task. The end result can be very pleasing if you take your time and do it right. My advice, is do, step by step, from the ground up. It is best to do it once the vechile is emptied. What I mean is, don't build a box, and slap it inside the truck. Make sure you do all the simple things. Run your wires, carefully and neatly, reinforce the panels of your vehicle. Anticipate things to start breaking lol and test everything before final assempbly

Should I buy the bc5500
sell the hcca buy a zcon or evil. run it on the bc2000 and sit n smile and think damn this is so much better than my hcca was.. But why? If he is happy with his current subs, no need to spend more cash. Yes, the Zcon and Evil are both amazing subs, but they have their own audience and their own performance perks. If the HCCA's fit his goals, no need to change. And OP, I've personally have always liked sticking to one, makes things simpler. But I also don't advise to run at .5 daily. You can, but definitely not necessary.

I DO NOT give my money or business to people who make posts like he has. What have I done wrong? I gave you a box design but obviously it's not gonna work since we didn't have dimensions. Then I ask you to please drop you're attitude and come back with dimensions and then we can help you. Honestly what about my posts made you not wanna deal with me? The fact that you mentioned to someone who is fairly new to car audio to not even start a thread without dimensions.
