Sounds like you may have got a sub that slipped by quality control. But Jacob at sundown is one of the better owners so I would almost guarantee he will make it right and fix it or send you another. I have heard of him upgrading people with bigger newer amps for nothing so how many company's you hear of doing something like that. I have had nothing but good luck with my sundown team 12's.

Sealed will be easier and smaller but ported can be made to sound just as good if done correctly.

Ow and I just looked at some picks in your profile and your running 2 big JL slash 450/4's so that right there shows me you talk out your ^ss. You gave me a hard time for owning and liking JL even thought I also own sundown and crescendo while you yourself are running them. How hypacritycle is that?

Arron answered no problem. He didn't just speak in generalities. "Well it's all install" no it's apparently not if the Korean and Chinese amps are known to take more abuse, and the brazilians are known to be delicate with voltage and vibration. And I apologize if I come off like a dick it just really seems like a few people around here "not you per say" can't just answer a simple question as Arron so clearly and easily did they just gotta talk non sense that doesn't even remotely have a thing to do with answering a simple question. I must be thinking of sonic electronics price, but you guys and them, have exactly the same prices on DC, except this one amp, that's what through me off. Like I said though, I could care less if you opened the box, if I needed the amp I wouldn't mind one bit, I would buy it just the same at the original price, as long as I was told up front about it, so I didn't think I was getting a return. I will give you guys that atleast you tell people it's a open box, I honestly think sonic just sells it either way, as long as it in working order and not damaged.

Thank you Arron you answered all my questions, and what you said is exactly what I have read, and seen with everything but the Brazilian amps. I have never used them myself but have read exactly what you explained. Why can't the rest of these guys be as helpful and polite as you? They seem to dance around the questions and never really answer anything for anybody.

Funny thing is I was comparing prices and sonic electronics and ssa where exactly the same except this amp which now is a $100 more all of a sudden. But like I said it's a perfectly fine amp it's not like opening the box changed anything so I was just curious why they didn't just leave the price as is and sell it. And I agree Arron and mark are great at helping people and selling this stuff as cheap as anyone I just can't figure out why the need to juke the price on a open box amp.

Well more what I was thinking is how do the Brazilian amps like Stetson and taramps put out so many watts for the price compared to say ampere or sundown. Are the Brazilian amps any good for daily setups on music or are they just more geared toward competition burps? I myself have always ran the zenon Korean amps or some of the better Chinese amps but I keep hearing the younger crowd go on and on about these taramps and how powerful they are for the money. And then I have heard others say there junk that burn up super easy. So what's the truth to these rumors.

What are the pro's and cons of Korean built amps compared to Brazilian and Chinese. And for daily spl builds which is better.

Couldn't help but notice the price was raised by a $100 to offset the $100 discount which makes it the exact same price as before, which is fine since it's new and only been used to take pics, but why the need to make it look like a deal when it reality, it's the exact same price as before, or am I missing something here? And I'm not trying to be a ?ick just curious?

What other amps share these boards? Flat line, Audio Legion, maybe ampere just curious. I know there zenon amps and that's a good thing.

I have always been a Alpine fan myself or clarion but now a days seems like Pioneer, JVC, and Kenwood all make decent head units. Honestly just pick the one you like best that has the options you like and if you plan to buy subs or build a complete system you always wanna have 3 sets of RCA's and 4 volt or higher pre-outs are always good for getting the most from your amp.

Honestly if I was building a sq system with that much space constraints I would use one of Memphis or JL's flat subs and some micro zed amps. Nice 4 channel for a 2 way front stage and a small mono amp for the sub or you could get a 5 channel and do the whole system with one amp but personally I like the looks of 2 amps over one if their gonna be seen. And now a days with all the great oem integration not much use in buying a head unit unless you just want more features. As for mids highs I have always been partial to morel, JL, Infinity kappa's, and focal. Any one of those in a proper install should sound pristine if set up properly.

Honestly don't think you have to worry. But didn't you buy these as a set? That could be a problem if you only sent just the tweeter back. Or have you spoke to them and that's what they told you to do?

You could get a soundqubed HD310 for around that kind of money and those subs hammer but you would need more then 600watts to realize their true potential. But didn't you say you where making 1152@2ohm? That would make it hum. And I hate to agree with M5 but the SSA subs are really good to to me they have a more sq sound then the soundqubed.

Have them turn it into a level 5 hybrid it will be thunderous then.

Want hurt a thing not enough juice. It just barely moves the cone in one direction. I have never had a problem doing it.

Get yourself a 9 volt battery and touch the speaker wire to it and it will only move one way. Makes it real easy to see which way the cone is going.

Yea no doudt. I have seen the sales sheets for the zenon factory where 80% of this Korean subs and amps are made and it's appalling what some of these dealers charge us for it. Like the big 12k amps where $450 a piece with a minimum order of 30 and there what $2650 when they hit the Amarican shore. And that includes freight shipping their only other cost is tax and duty once it reaches the port and what ever it cost to in grave their logo's and numbers on it. And the subs where even cheaper the big triple stacked 80lbs woofers where $200 a pop. They had crates of tweeters you could buy by the pound. And the mids where practically nothing to like a few dollars. We should all get together and do a group buy of 5k's for $175 a piece and get a awesome deal. I would be using 5k amps on my tweets and mids then lol.
