I don't see the big deal about the price. Plenty of $1k dollar subs out now. I gave more for my sundowns then I did the JL, and nobody ever says anything about them. You figure I went through 3 subs, so that works out to $300 a piece. And a lot of car audio is having something not everybody has. That and like you, I just wanted to try one. Now I just need to get it in a good box. These factory sealed boxes ain't much, to small. Maybe I should put this one in my Cruze and a 18" in my dodge, plenty of room in there.

Yes I can't wait. I spend 8-16 hours a day in this car, so I gotta get me some tunes. Right now I just want to get something going in it. I may buy one sub, and one amp at a time if I have to. I can always build a new box, and upgrade my electrical later to accommodate the second sub, and amp. I think this little car is going to be easy to make loud, I installed some cheap tweeters in the factory locations, and it really made a huge difference already. My dodge seems to soak up sound from all the cloth interior, and is a lot harder to make it loud. It does sound good though.- Billy Jack Thread Dumping Thread
Well I couldn't help but notice the synergy used the same board as the twisted sounds, so I thought since everybody is having good luck with them, and the synergy is cheaper, I may give one a try and save myself some cash. I also noticed they where heavier by a few pounds, so that's probably where some differences are, heat sink, inputs, etc, like you said. Either way if I can get a realiable 3500 watts for $599 I'm in. You will be hearing from me next month on a order. Also gonna need some batts, and your most definitely cheaper then most places for XS power. I wish the new SSA line of amps was out, I would definitely run one of those. Any idea on a ship or realease date?- Billy Jack Thread Dumping Thread
Guys I'm just totally pucking with Shawn, none of this was aimed at anyone but him. And Arron I like your subs, I was talking about Soundqubed, Sundown teams, V's, American bass VFL's, Incriminator Wardens, when I said SPL. I know Icons, and Xcons can sound really good in the right box on low to moderate power. But I do tend to think of you guys as the go to place for spl, more so then sq, but that's just me. Now that I think about it, it's more like a 50/50 split between the 2. Kind of like I think sq when speaking about JL, it's not that they can't get loud, it's just I don't see it as much with either brand. There was a guy a while back ran 2 12w7's at Meca comps and did great numbers, 151-153db which isn't bad for 2 12's, on 2k watts. He started at 147 I think it was, and he said over a year or two period tested and tuned till he got up to the 153db best score. And no M5 I'm not talking about the guy with the blue Mazda on you tube, although this guy is listed on the meca website. And as far as Zed, I was really suprised myself, cause everything I have owned from them has been top shelf stuff. Who knows it could have been a refurbished amp, or a return and someone else did it out side the company. It was my friend who runs PJ's car tunes in Corbin Kentucky, he stated he had bought 2 of them brand new, and showed me the part still in the amp. He said hisself, he has dealt with them for years, and never had a problem, except this one little part. He contacted the guy, and he did offer to replace the amp free of charge, and told Charles he had no idea why it would look that way. Charles told him it wasn't a problem, he just wanted to make him aware, in case it did fail after installing it. And i never heard anything else, so it must have kept working fine. It was one of the capacitors that looked old. If he had never took the amp apart you would have never knew. But it did make us think, hmm I wonder what else their letting slide by. No big deal though, if the man built amps for 25 years, and messed up once he did great, most of us screw up at least once in a while. And just for the record, I will say when we removed my JL13w7 from the factory Prowedge box, it had a old odd ball screw under the surround. Same deal, didn't hurt a thing but was odd for a $1000 dollar sub.- Billy Jack Thread Dumping Thread
Sure you do. Wink wink- Billy Jack Thread Dumping Thread
Wrong, he has already admitted he has done work for 90% of the audio, aerospace, and automotive industry's out there. Which is probably bullshit, or a huge exaggeration. But now for the sake of argument he suddenly doesn't. Trust me, he has a stake in repping internet brands, over big name brands. This is actually a very common thing, and it's not hard to see exactly who is doing it. These guys are on all the forums SMD, DIY, etc. Hell it says "SSA supporter" in your forum name, no doubt you guys don't want the truth told. Actually I really hope you guys do get something for repping all this stuff and ain't just brain washed into believing the internet hype. And don't take me wrong, I have heard plenty of D.C. Incriminator, Sundown, Crescendo, Zed, and SSA stuff and there good spl brands but their not anything special. Seen something a while back that totally turned me off Zed, guy had ordered a new amp and when he removed the cover and inspected closely realized it had old components from the 80's in it. He showed me and it looked like they where building a new amp, and just ran out of new parts, and grabbed something off a old used shelf, and installed it just to get it out the door. 6 identical parts and one Was faded and really old looking. We looked at the other identical amp and it looked fine no oddball parts.- Singer Alt Doesn't Fit
Probably wrong alt. I have never seen anything bigger then a 300amp alt for the civic and that was for the biggest engine they made. It's Probably a alt for a bigger car or truck, but I'm no Honda expert. Or it could be a alt that has to have custom brackets to fit. Did Singer say it was a direct bolt on alt? Cause they sell both.- (2) Fi BTL 15" - 15000 watts in the trunk
Yes but how? Can you remove the box or can you actually fiberglass it in place. I'm gonna assume since the port is built into the back dash, you are gonna fiber glass it in place. You must be phenomenal with fiberglass, I can't imagine how hard it's gonna be to attach that front baffle to the box. You definitely look like you know your stuff on the boxes. Good luck.- Billy Jack Thread Dumping Thread
Whoops, I let the cat out of the bag, and got you so out of sorts your stuttering, and back pedaling. "knowbtour" "egurgitating"- Billy Jack Thread Dumping Thread
Sorry, I just can't take anyone serious after they say JL is junk, and trash, and hifonics, MBQuart, and NVX is the good stuff. And I have explained this before, but for the people who don't know I will again. Company's like JL, Heartz, and Morel, sell in store fronts and not solely online, so guys like M5 are paid to work the forums, and talk them down, while touting what ever internet brand their working for as the next big thing, far cheaper, and far better. And their go to sales pitch is always, but they cost more, but the part they don't tell you is how their not cookie cutter copies of the same old generic design. Yes it cost more to do R and D, and pay (Americans) to build quality products, which they stand behind 100%. Now I'm not saying some of these internet brands aren't decent, I happen to like FI, and Sundown, and they do get loud, but loud is rather easy, the hard part that cost so much, is getting loud while still sounding good, all while being reliable. You may fool the young unsuspecting crowd but ol dad knows better. Now call me a liar. Oh and before you say I'm not paid, you have some stake in it like discounts, personal ties, business partner, etc.- The new SSAudio.com Products page.
Awesome! If you don't mind me asking what build house will be building your amps? Zenon, Chinese, etc.- Billy Jack Thread Dumping Thread
Oh I do, don't worry about that. And you shouldn't take life so seriously, in the end none of us makes it out alive anyways.- Billy Jack Thread Dumping Thread
Nope not yet. I plan to order sometime in the next 4 weeks. Right now I'm tuning the car up and trying to fix the 1.4 turbo Cruze design flaw. Pvc valve is built into the valve cover and they go out every 20k-60k miles and you gotta buy the entire valve train cover. And I think I'm gonna just run a 2500 watt amp so I can avoid doing a alt upgrade. Maybe later on I will add another amp, batt, and alt but right now I think a big 4 upgrade and 2 big battery's will be ok. I tend to not drive a lot at night, and usually only run my system, except when it's a 100 degrees out, and then I can just go easy on it as to not put a strain on my electrical. Any suggestions?- (2) Fi BTL 15" - 15000 watts in the trunk
Can't wait to see how you bring it all together. I can't picture how your gonna connect that front baffle to the box inside the trunk. Or are you gonna fiberglass it out of the car and slide it in? It looks to big for that but it's hard to tell from the picks.- Billy Jack Thread Dumping Thread
I didn't used to, but honestly these days I'm a pretty good dude, I just enjoy pulling your chain bro, your way to easy. If you wasn't so much fun to fuck with, I wouldn't even bother! You gotta admit you like arguing, and blowing off some steam yourself. You gotta be one of the most uptight guys in person. Seriously, how anal are you about things having to be absolutely correct?- Billy Jack Thread Dumping Thread

Good cause I'm no expert, nor would I waste my time, and money on some rebranded junk to peddle online. But technically I could if I felt the need. I prefer to stay out of industries full of liars, thieves, and scum bags.- DA VAN! 12 CF XSv4 18"s, 12 CF 8X's on 18v, 48 XS Power D1600s, huuuuge buuild
Yea that's what I meant. You know how many people I seen throw a cheaply made amp pushing a lot of dirty power to a small low powered sub and fry it, a bunch. They usually buy them separate, or second hand, and don't realize what they got, or exactly how to tune it. I bought a old JL1000/1 slash the other day for $75 bucks and this kid had it hooked up to 2 Pyle subs with speaker wire ran to everything even the power wire. How the amp even pulled enough current to blow the subs I will never know but it did. He thought both had fried because the speaker wires where melted together, but I took it home and threw it on my 13w7 and it worked perfect. Now I got a back up amp for my HD1200/1 for little of nothing.- (2) Fi BTL 15" - 15000 watts in the trunk
I gotta say that's pimp, good job man. I feel for anybody riding in the middle of that back seat.- Billy Jack Thread Dumping Thread
Honestly couldn't care less who owns another rebranded turd company, just stated what I read on their very own blog. Like I have said before, it's no big deal to buy a lot of 2000 units, and stamp your name on them, and bam your a audio company. It's even easier to be a internet dealer, you carry very little stock, and have everything built as it's ordered. You boys wanna buy some Billy Jack 5k's, I will call up zenon and have them slap a badge on some 5k's and cash in. Lmfao!!!!!- Billy Jack Thread Dumping Thread
So who determined the internet was right, and the blog on sonic isn't? How do you know your right, it could be the blog is right and he sold it or never owned it in the first place. Do any of you know the guy personally? Dont say "dont believe everything you read on the internet" then later state what you read on it as fact.- (2) Fi BTL 15" - 15000 watts in the trunk
Nice looking work. Let us know how it sounds. I'm going to be doing roughly half of what you got. 1 15btl on 3500 watts. Just curious what kind of output it's going to have. I'm sure yours will be a far better install as I'm not gonna dynamat unless I do it later on. I don't have as much room as you do one sub should provide enough output for my little Cruze.- Billy Jack Thread Dumping Thread
Gomer I wasn't wrong the employees at sonic were. And it wasn't a phone call, it's on there blog go read it for yourself. I myself read online that they owned NVX, but after reading their blog thought they wouldn't lie, or not know who they work for. It would be like me reading Arron and Mark owned SSA then coming on this forum and a employee saying no they do not own it. Who would you believe. And if they truly do own it, they need to remove the post from their blog, cause that just makes them look stupid.- Billy Jack Thread Dumping Thread
Maybe somebody should tell the employees at sonic, cause they there selves say they don't own nvx. Which it's very possible that who ever is answering questions over there has no idea who he or she works for, it happens. - Billy Jack Thread Dumping Thread
