  2. Jacob any update to this yet? Im still looking to get a reply from you on my amp being repaired...
  3. Good to know Jacob. I was starting to wonder if you got my email about my amp. Keep us updated
  4. Im sure somebody will post up some pics soon. I took pics, but mostly of the actual cars on the show floor....The foot traffic there were hella good, just wish they would tweak the rules so the scores could be louder. Overall a good event, I got to see my '69 Chevelle SS, so I was happy. Man was that thing pur-tey lol

It seemed like everyone had the amps...lol
  6. Sean you better be there! I plan on attending just to spectate, probally run through some beers and just relax with yall. Does anyone know the exact time when the metering actually begins? Eric
  7. Lol. I think their far from boner subs. Their inexpense and perform quite well. Not much of a SQ sub, but in the right box they can be decent. They are better sounding then my L5s I had a while back. If boner is the case you gotta list DC, Sundown, Fi, XS batteries, DC power, and etc. If you don't like the sub fine, but boner, sounds like a child trying to argue on why they don't like a particular company. I can say I don't care too much for Kicker, not their products, but just their yearly business model. That's a argument I can give, and state valid points with it. Boner just sounds immature IMO
  8. M5 just hates AQ. At least that's what I can tell from his post
  9. I agree with Shizzzon. I have mine tuned to about 36 hz, and they sound good but I always felt it was lacking. Being that I listen to mostly rap, go-go, and R&B, I was kinda nervous to tune so high. Doing so I understand why they recommend tuning so high. Even though the hit the lows nice and heavy, my go go and old school R&B is lacking, so my next box is being built at 38 Hz. People say it's not a SQ sub, which is true, they should still sound good overall.
  10. I love mine, they take beating. They take about 2K a peice to get them to shine, and thier worth way more than a paper weight. What are your goals
  11. I love the look of just of a plain smooth amp. Ridges and all the fancy stuff doesn't fair with me. They were testing a 10 K amp too I believe. Hope they start making a 3K amp!
  12. Before you do anything go toe Lowes/ Home Depot, spend 20 bucks to get a DMM (digital Mulit Meter) Check your voltage all positive points. Also check your ground. It may get enough juice to turn on but not enough to run the subs. I always say if your gonna do self installs, buy a DMM, Zip tips, wire cutter, wireless drill and drill bits. Makes installing and troubeshooting alot easier...I bet you its something simple
  13. That was my goal years ago when I graduated was a street pounder. But as you grow older, have a family, it's really not that big of a deal. Yes on the highway on a good day I may turn it up, but most of the time my music is at a reasonable level. I don't want to come home after work and some jerk ass teenager comes past my home bumping. The main reason I like building a loud system is that not many people have huge amounts of power, it's a good hobby, I meet some cool people, and it's a nice conversation peice. I play alot basketball, but I don't wanna join the NBA. I play alot of games, but don't consider myself a hardcore gamer. I do what I do because it relaxes me and it eases stress from my job, and gets me away from the family lol. But alot of the people who know me don't even know I have a system, that's usually how low key I am about it. It's also a less chance of theft by keeping your mouth shut.
  14. Experience is key no matter what field it is and how many degrees or certificates you have
  15. Personally I wouldve took a few of my boys and whooped his ass. Alarms are your friend man

I knew when you complained about the battery terminal what car it was, lol. I have a 97 lumee. I did my grounds under the hood pretty much the sane way. I did sand it down like a bish though. Great build though man!
  17. Nice man. Glad to see the lumee getting done
  18. I believe their rated at 1000 but are underated. I would throw 1500rms at it personally at 2 ohms
  19. I have a 200amp DB electrical Alternator. Alot of people love them alot of people hate them. I have had mine for about 9 months and havent gave me a bit of trouble. So its really up to you.
  20. Another reason why speaker terminals plus high current sucks. I would just create one with a washer and bolts, etc, or just wire it straight to the sub. Which is what I always do.
  21. x2. Their are plenty of members who build boxes. Personally I would just have someone design it, and build it yourself
  22. Make sure you have sufficient electrical. Some nice beefy sealed batteries (Kinetik, Powermaster, Deka, etc), but since you have a hummer I think your alternator should be fine. Here is my recommendations: Big 3 upgrade in 1/0 Gauge ( Alternator to Battery, Engine block to chassis, Battery negative to ground) Do all wire in 1/0 Guage ( Check out KnuKonceptz.com) Get at least a beefy front battery and back battery Check out All types of amps beside the Rockford Fosgate ( Just keep your options open) install it yourself (better to learn now)
  23. This is my sentence much shorter. However my advice would be to never base a sub off a YouTube video. Alot of people do them, but truely they don't do anything good. It's mostly on the camera how hard a subs 'hit' or sound. Nothing like hearing it in person.
