Ill let you know after this weekend what my voltage looks like. Im running a synergy 35.1 for the sub and on crap electrical it did fine (2000 jeep cherokee sport) now ive rewired. Put in a voltage gauge. 2 runs of 2/0 to the rear. Mechman 240 and my northstar agm 220 is going in saturday. Ill be running at .5 until i can decide on a new sub so ill be using my buddys ascendant team 18 untill then. Havnt seen what itll look like on the fresh rebuild but the synergy amps are awesome. Also have a 150.4 for the highs i picked up from ssa that has yet to go in.

Hopefully ill be good. The main reason for wanting the btl is to shed some weight. Going from a 70lb 18 to a 58lb neo is only a 12 lb difference.. mabey id be safer with the sp4. Im debating ordering a dd1 to set everything. Itll get used by 3 mabey 4 people. Its worth it to save my equipment from disaster but itll need to take the abuse every day. And i could smell the coil on the sundown once in a while so.. this is an awesome build here in the works. Wish i could hear it once its done

Yea i watched a video of a single dd sub i believe a 12 or 15 hit a 155. But at like 71 hz or something that nature. Crazy high. Built for one purpose. I want the happy medium but its turned into a complete rebuild so i dunno. Sold my sundown zv4 18 so i planned on an FI sp4v2 or Btl but ive been trying to contact Fi and it said theyre email is full. Id like to talk to them first. Keep it up and im gonna say screw it and order a evil 18.

Are the ssa tweets almost ready? Or possibly going to be offered as a component set with the evil 6.5s? Need highs for my jeep! Its turned into a total rebuild! So much for budget. I want good sound. Doesnt need to be sq oriented cuz im more of an spl guy. But i want it to keep up with the sub. Synergy 35.1 for the sub and synergy 150.4 for the highs. May not even put rear speakers in. At least not in the factory locations anyways. Ive got two sets of door panels so i can cut some up. Just wanting suggestions. Pretty heart set on the evil 6.5s. Lmao man i can remember being a kid and being inside hills staring at the purple "urban" 12s and 10s saying to myself one day ill have some of those... this is an awesome thread btw. My first actual system was a california 1200 on some california baja 12's. I found a pic of my old kicker setup in my 92 saturn sl2. No sub shots but old kicker xs100 on some solobaric 15s. Round. Sealed box. Ill dig that up and post in the morning.

Thought about that route too. But i have this addiction since my first car back in 99 that i cant run the same setup for more than a year without getting something new. My old lady doesnt understand it. She knows what i spend on things and just shakes her head. Plus the zv4 18s are getting harder to find. That may change with the zv5s coming out. All the audio shops here sell memphis, jl audio, american bass, ect. Theres nothing wrong with that or the companys... i never was a fan of american bass until i heard my buddys 3 xfl's in his durango. But everybody runs the same equipment. Plus my buddy that owns a shop that sells all memphis.. i like getting under his skin. Hes comment when i got the sundown was "i wonder if its louder than a mojo" um yes. One sub doing 143.7 out the gate on crap electrical and no tuning was.

Very true. Id rather be slightly underpowered than overpowered in a daily setup. Plus it leaves room to go bigger without having to change subs again down the road to go up in power.

I just put my zv4 up for sale on cl to see if i get any bites.. the itch is real. Lol. Notorious thanks for the imput. You too bluedreamz... the btl could probably take the 35.1 all day and just add another and another amp down the road. The future goal is 2 18s but thats a ways down the road

Lol decisions suck. The btl claims 2500 rms. If i dont go up in power and just pick up another 35.1 and sub down the road... im assuming from everything ive read about Fi subs theyre pretty underrated. If it was a 4" coil i wouldnt even question it. The zv4 gets a little smelly on the 35.1 my buddys ascendant team 18 got down on my amp for break in. Never smelled the coil once and beat on it for a week. Way more serious of a sub than the zv4 and a 4k rms tho

Yea its a tough call. Id love to go up in power down the road too. I dont know enough about Fi to make a decision. If it were purely based on looks id say btl all day. But we all know its whats on the inside that counts.

Yea i was debating the evil too but my buddy is running them. Amazing subs. But its a little of the wanting to be different factor. I lean towards the "4 coil too cuz gobs of power....

Just wondering opinions. Ive been eyeing both. God the new btl is sexy... but lacks a 4" coil. Which the sp4 has. But isnt as sexy. Running a sundown zv4 18 now and i have the itch for a new sub. It will go on my synergy 35.1. And really wanting to add a second amp and sub down the road. This will be used daily if that helps... opinions? Ive never ran FI but its going to happen if i can make up my mind.

Let me know how those subs work out. Been debating between them and the new sp4

Off topic but when i was eyeing my synergy 150.4 for quite some time it was $299. Then when i ordered it was up to $349. Did they change something? Other than the price obviously. And it was across the board. Not just ssa to make that clear. Cuz ssa is who i went with.

Now thats a good looking build. Really thinking of getting four of the evil 6.5s for my front doors. Still looking for front stage for my synergy 150.4.
