  1. Hey Guys, I am going to have a yellow top under the hood and a spare bat in the trunk. What I was wondering is how do you wire these? Do you run them in series and then the amp from the rear batt? Josh
  2. X2 .. Is called Flossin!!
  3. How do you think this will fair as a daily?
  4. Hey, I have been thinking of where to install my crossovers, I was wondering if they have to be near the front, or can I run them back to my amp rack? Josh

Project Van, 2000 Tweeters, Sup? =x Dizzle, What does it mean when some ppl talk about head units and they say 2v or 4v or 5v output?
  6. I actually am pretty happy with them, they have more of a tight bass sound, and the tweeters are pretty crazy. It gives a pretty good sound and get really loud. I haven't been able too hook up the crossover and amp yet so I will be able to give you a better review Friday, when I can play with the xover settings.

Yea that is a little much for me. Not bad if you installed systems or had other work uses for it.

Yea, I was wondering what voltage to look for. When you say turn off the EQ, do you mean run it flat -- 0's across the board or negative.

what are the exact measurements you can work with? No I was just wondering how high you went above it, I would stay about there, any higher and visability becomes an issue. I think you would like the BL vs the Q , there is not alot of rap that hits the notes that the BL can't pick up well ( atleast that's what I've heard) I ordered the Q's and changed them to BL bc I really was aiming for my car to beat. I also mainly listen to rap and I heard that the BL handles alot of the bass in most rap.

i just means. dont turn your gain and boost on the amp all the way up to where your hu can only be put on volume 10 out of 50 and it already maxes out the amp power output. so to set it right turn the amp gain all the way down, then turn the hu up between 75% to 100% and turn up the gain up until it starts clippin then turn it down until it stops. or you can use a multimeter to get it exact. A Multimeter? Is that like a Voltmeter? How do I tell when it is "exact" ?
  14. Answer me this, When I get 6 or more hours of sleep I always over sleep and feel tired when I wake up, not to mention I can barely wake up. Yet if I sleep 5 or less I feel much better and I get up faster.

My Amp isn't clipping, I just wanted to be positive what it was so I didn't let it happen, and if it did I would reconize it. What do you mean only 75% of the HU volume?

Hey Guys, Just wondering, how do you know if you are clipping your amp? I thought it was if your voltage drops to low. If it does have something to do about voltage, where can you get the electronic volt meters I've seen in ppl's car?
  18. Is this for outside niose or to keep the SQ inside better? I just roll it over the sheet metal right? Oh and you can't imagine how much dremeling I did to get the tweeter to fit in the housings.
  19. LoL Just Noticed Yea I was thinking of doing it. Never done it before, I'm not sure about product/installation. The mazda panels are actually pretty well together, not to much clutter in there.
  20. sadly this does not surprise me at all. local place i get Memphis stuff for charged a guy i know 1200 to run 4 gauge, install an amp, and a prefab box with a M1 in it. amp, sub, wires, and box costs no more than 800 so your telling me 400 dollars for what 2 hours of work maybe 3 im sorry ill do it myself. Yea, My first quote was a system, and I mean it was a serious low budget system and they quoted me 1200. This was for like 2 Orion cobalt 12's a orion 400 box wire and front components.
  21. I know, it's a joke how much they charge now adays... I mean at the most the MDF woulda been around 75 dollars with some leftover.
  22. Please don't tell me you are gonna pay that much... LoL I WISH I had the money to afford to pay that much haha! No I am gonna install it all myself. I was gonna get it installed bc I can't really bend much since I broke my back, but I will just figure something out. It is the principal of it. I'm not gonna get charged that kinda BS. I mean 100 bux for something that cost 5 dollars, not in this lifetime.
  23. What parts you from? South Ga Here. It just started getting cold outside >< Doesn't rain to much, I'm sure it will pick up in the next couple months..
  24. KU40 Where can you get a meter at to see how your far your voltage drops?
