Perhaps if the Ipod was modified to support lossless codecs such as FLAC or APE...MP3 is worthless to me.

http://www.zaphaudio.com. If you really want to go balls-out on a two-way, check out the ZD5 As for amplification, I'm a separates whore so I would probably recommend a solid power amplifier like an Adcom, Rotel or Parasound...coupled to a tubed preamp or solid state pre. Just a question of how much is left, I would definitely put the money into the monitors first.

  9. I don't think you could go wrong with either the W6v2 or the Q. Tough choice...
  10. Nope. 3dB is around the threshold of being able to tell a difference by ear, but theoretically you need to increase output by 10dB before you're "twice as loud". That's part of the reason why adding power is the worst way to sound louder And I have no idea what the above post is saying

  13. How much do you have to spend?
  14. So why not put together an entire system?
  15. What else do you have already?
  16. Upfiring drivers, rear-firing port? If it were me I'd take a weekend and build three or four different configurations of enclosures and see how they do...
  17. Can't hurt. No need to double post.
  18. I would have stuck with the IDMAX's

Touched my wifi antenna by accident and got a pretty good static shock, good thing it was the shield part of it and not the center pin
  20. I hope this is a show car, and not something that's going to be playing every day...
  21. I'd stop listening to whoever told you that.
  22. Just do horns and a 7" midbass...

They're going to be finished...multiple coats of sealer and whatever finish I end up with...

Ryan B., got a question... I put solid oak suprabaffles on the BIB's, used only glue and clamps. Solid hardwood is hygroscopic. Did I just fuck myself over on that one?
