Lance, Kody and Chris really do sound like members of a boy band, I'm sorry.

I'd be a little suspicious of anyone named Lance or Kody in the first place...

Our ears aren't linear, they work on a logarithmic scale...so yes, there's a big difference between the two
  5. All of those seem like you're shopping at Best Buy...not the greatest values there.

http://www.audiocircle.com/circles/index.php?topic=40562.0 Second page was teh funnah. I was being an ass, granted, but...
  7. What, did the PCB-etching oompa loompa's go on vacation?
  8. I hit a groundhog the other day, never seen one try to cross a road like that but there it was. Not running, just shuffling....not fast enough though.
  9. I don't know a lot of very low Qts woofers that do well in sealed environments, mostly because they're so electrically overdamped that they have horrible bass response when sealed up. The Fostex's I have run into the same problems when sealed up, everything under 150Hz goes out the window...but they basically have no BL product either
  10. The coaxials remind me of knockoffs of Pioneer Rev series speakers.
  11. I've been in NC for seven years and I've never heard anyone say that before

Dave? Vacation? That's something you don't hear much...
  14. I don't have any personal experience with them yet, Jake from Sundown would be the one to ask...I'm guessing he knows a thing or two about 'em
  15. I wouldn't.
  16. Bah, where'd the good music go by the time digital recording came around? (Tongue only slightly in cheek )
  17. I think you're underestimating the..."creativity"...of some of the people on this forum
  18. Don't really see why it would be, as long as your amp produces enough power at that impedance...
  19. That's going to be enclosure dependent...

    What's going on Saturday @ Dave's?
  21. Would have protected me when I got hit

What you're going through is old fashioned psychoacoustics...you're telling yourself there's a problem when there isn't one. But it's your money. Don't be surprised if there isn't a huge difference when you change amplifiers though
  23. Excellent review! Even though I see someone's been looking at my usual review material...especially the soundtrack choices That track from Narnia does funny things to midbasses
  24. Hoffman's Iron Law. You want deep extension, you need a large enclosure, or run into a lot of compromises...
