READ other threads first. You are comparing a SQ oriented driver to a SPL oriented driver so which do you think will be louder. Id recommend against sending an X-con 2kw anyways the gain will be negligible and its not worth killing it. If you still dont understand yes a Fi BTL will be louder but will even sound that good doing it not likely. The x-con gets loud but sounds amazing doing it. hopefully next time you'll read a little first but i hope this helps.

Speaker size has no effect its the coil itself.

depends on application honestly. music they are content with 1500wrms but iv seen jake throw 10kw at them on burps and 30sec for drive by spl but id be careful on that much power

put a really low ohm resistor in line should do the trick

Is that partical board? If so id be careful that shit doesn't hold up to well to subs. May be fine with the alpine though. Also did you calculate the port or did you just make it bigger?

Daily for me as well. Im working on a little spl right now. A 145+ at the headrest with 1200wrms clamped. Got a few more batteries and a little more tuning im gonna try again if i can. Cant complain though, those are some good numbers on that kinda power imo. All i need is a free 3000d

I like the plain and simple top design personally and like god smack said 2 small one big.

My girl is into it maybe not like me but she has competed and helps me out for hours on end when im working on stuff. She doesn't mind the free stuff i don't use anymore either.. wish i got free audio stuff....

Cant remember if mark really set one. Me and a buddie worked on some of the top programs on my box. Seems like the 15s want 3.25 after displacement and a 30-31hz tuning. Not saying that's what it should be but im impressed by the box. Id say anywhere from 3.25-4 @ 30-34hz should be pretty damn good for them.

BOLTSSSSS man bolts.... Get some 1/4 brass bolts, washers, and nuts. Pick up some 1/4 8ga ring terminals and get to work. Personally man iv done it that way forever with no issues and it allows you to change up ohm loads in a snap.
