  3. I believe it was actually denim who brought up the deformation comment (at any rate, it surely wasn't me). Anytime an aluminum cone is moving you should not touch it, as the force of impact could dent it. However, if a warm cone is at rest, there should not be any problems in touching it. If you're really juicin' the driver, the cone can almost be too hot to touch, but it still maintains its structural integrity just fine so long as you aren't beating the poor thing. my bad, i thought i read that you said that

  7. hey flakko, (im mainly from caraudio.com) and i have this same thread going on in: caraudio.com termpro.com teamssaudio.com ddaudioforum.com lol...these things seem to be beasts for only being dd's mid-level drivers!! so youre getting a 3515??? im fairly sure btnhfan on CA.com had some 3500s, i think he's on here too but his name is slightly different, like trex-btnhfan or something
  8. yeah, it gets warm (i dont own one but thats what people have said), and Mike has said not to touch the cone when its warm cause it could be deformed in its more pliable state
