1. Yea, I wouldn't want to be like one of those women that gets a boob job and then gets pissed when someone looks at her rack!!!!
2. I have a piece of 3/4" birch that was left over that I cut to fit that sits over it now, and I was just going to cover it with some tan felt (want to redo the trunk to match the interior), but now you got me thinking. A plexi window would be pretty cool, I gotta think that one out.
3. Thanks guys !!!
4.

Thanks!!
5. Yea, more of my decision was based on size and what I can fit in the spare tire well, but the numbers work out to this: Comparing to a Powermaster D3100: The D3100 has a Max Amps rating of 3200 and 117ah. Each D925 has Max Amps of 2400 and 28ah so times 5: Max Amps of 12000 and 140ah. So I'm getting a little more ah than one D3100 and great burst amps. I also have a Kinetic 1800 under the hood and a 250a DC Power alt, so I'm hoping that will fill the bill. With the weight already going in the trunk, I really don't want to put any more batteries there, if I have to, I might take out the stock battery tray and put a D3100 in the stock location. But that is only if its necessary.
6. Thanks !!! I'm really happy with it. There is one little measuring flub if you look at the lower left battery, the right wall of its little box is a little thick hehehehe. Other than that I think I did pretty good since I usually suck at angles. Now I just gotta get them wired up.
7. Battery Rack is done !!! Buss Bars are done !!! Just have to put the last screws in one of them and then mount them. The picture makes them look small, but they are 3/8" x 1.5" x 18" copper with 5/16 stainless bolts.
8. Lots of 18s
9. No shit right?
10. Thanks!! I'm kinda digging it too. I just have to figure out how where I'm going to put my buss bars.
11. Got the center piece cut and fit. I just have to trim the side thatfaces the empty battery compartment. I'm going to order the 5th 925 onMonday, when I put it in, I'll trim the center piece to fit. With the top on. With the carpet on. What batteries?
12. Thanks everybody, maybe I'll finish my build before 44 !!!!
13. Thanks !! Nah, its still in its box in my garage. I want to get the trunk finished up, then I'll move on to finishing up the kicks so they look nice, then I need to deaden the doors, rear deck and everything behind the backseat that hasn't been cut out and make mounts for the Sundown E8's that are replacing the stock door speakers. Once that is all set, I'll wire it all up and get the head unit in hopefully. I don't think I could stand seeing that box with the Alpine in it everyday without putting it in.lol Your glass work is nice, dude. How long do you think it'll be until you can put a big, fat DONE stamp on this puppy? Man, I wish I knew. Today is the first day I've had to put real work into it since I started working again. These 12 hours days really suck when you have a side project that is unfinished. If I remember correctly I started this thing in January, so I'm getting close to the year mark Thanks for the compliments.
14. Well with all this work, I sure don't want any additional noise screwing up the works. I'll have to figure out how much I'm going to need. The rear deck and behind the back seat will already be deadened, should I just do the entire trunk floor including the well? I appreciate all the help and advice, thanks guys !!
15. Thanks !! Nah, its still in its box in my garage. 16. Thanks !! Not really a complete first timer, but it is my first time with fiberglass and a ported enclosure.
17. I'll keep that in mind, thanks.
18. Well, the trunk is going to be sealed off from the cabin, subs and ports firing into the cabin so i didn't think I'd need any back there. I guess if I get rattles I can lay some down. Unless my thoughts are flawed (wouldn't be the first time) Edit: And thanks !!
19. Yea man, its been a while since I've had a day to work on this. I'm happy with how it turned out, but it will only work with small batteries like the D925's. I saw someone else take the spare tire well in his Avalon and with a mallet, he pounded the center down until the whole bottom of the well was flat and he put 3 large AGM batteries in it. I didn't want to demolish mine though. You just gave me an idea. I still have the jack in the car !!! Something else to come out LOL
20. Ok, gotta day off Thanks Columbus!!! Time to finish off this battery holder... A couple of pictures of the bottom that fits perfectly in the sparetire well and the sides of the battery compartments, screwed and glued. Here is what it looks like in the trunk with the batteries in it. Outside walls are on now. What I'm going to do for the center is cut a hexagon out of plywoodthat fits right in the middle and drill a hole in it and use thescrewdown for the sparetire to hold it in. That way I can just takethat piece out and the batteries can come out easier for maintenance. I wanted to get that done and the buss bars done today, but I ran outof time. Thanks for lookin!!!
21. No new pics, but I finally pulled the box out of the garage and finished sealing up the inside of the baffle. Sealed around the aero ports with foam sealant and then glassed over that as well as glassed the back of the baffle and corners. I never thought I would miss the smell of resin, but it smelled goooood. Hopefully this week I can do some sanding on the kicks and then put some Rage Extreme on them and do some final sanding.
22. Where did you get those saw horses? I've been trying to see a brand name or something on them but I can't find one. These are EXACTLY what I need. -Robert These are the puppies right there !!! I got mine at Home Depot. Stanley Fat Max Saw Horse
23. With an amp that big, you are going to need: Big 3 done in 1/0, an upgraded alt and extra batteries. Batteries don't charge themselves.
