larger enclosures require less power to get the speaker to it maximum limits......tuning effects the speaker also....port and tune to 45hz and play a 25hz tone and it will more than likely hurt the speaker. to play low(20Hz-30Hz)---you need to be able to move alot of air(that is what I meant by no replacement for displacement)----and if the speaker is in a ported enclosure it needs to be tuned low----if you want to be loud on a meter tune high and play higher frequency bass notes-----if you want the FEEL of being louder tune low.....

with an 81.5 on Saturday the Team SSA Camry locked up a total of 40 points for the season. So that means I will get an invite to world finals. The Camry will be torn down and back up and running by the Crutchfield shows in July. It will also be ready for Elite Summer Nationals in SC in August.

Try looking into Fi or SSA drivers. I would put those above the said drivers.

I would go with a single 12 ICON in a ported enclosure with SD1000 amp on it......I know the shop has them on special.......BTW you know you will get all the info you need on hooking it up if needed here at SSA.com
