RE Destroyer 15
the best box would probably be one in my trunk
-
Incriminator VS Incriminator
general rule is around 15 square inches of port per cubic foot of box

4 12" premiers in 93 civic hb

new to me car - system ideas
full range speakers will probably cost you about the same as the SEAS tweeters, seems like kind of a waste unless ur gonna use them in some other project

RE XXX Components
^^^^ Sounds like the way to go if you want bass, if you dont mind fabrication to give them the airspace they need
-
Midbass
fritos, are you even running tweeters? that would seem like a logical first step, along with playing with the HP filter

which sub setup is the loudest of these choices?
put 2 12 icons in a PTS box. the one he built for two 10's put out some crazy numbers, two 12s can only get better

Tuning my amp
Just set it there to begin with, play around with it a little and see where you like it, but you probably won't want to go much higher

Enclosure Question (yea seems like theres alot of these)
5.6 doesn't sound like a lot of room, but its within the recommended ported box size from Fi. But you should probably not seal off the trunk (if its going in a trunk car), which would give you less volume. I'm assuming that you factored in the volume of the port, and did you account for bracing? I would say try them sealed first before trying to cram them into a ported box. You could also try running just one in a bigger ported box. but if you are just concerned about loudness, why dont you get the BL? You could easily do 2 12's ported in that space and the BL's are designed more for SPL.

Box build for my Havoc 18s.
thats awesome, hair trick with 1/2 the substage in a design not built for SPL

going active
ok, i was just wondering, because that would give a lot more flexibility, not having to worry about building/buying a crossover if i get new speakers

umm..asking for a good friend.
http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.c...tnumber=300-752 http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.c...tnumber=300-806 either of those should be good, it depends on what box you are putting it in and how much bass you need

Could a Kicker ZX750 800watt Amp power a 15" T1 Power 1200 watt?
you would have double the cone are and be able to give the sub plenty of power. As long as its in the right box, should be louder

going active
I was wondering if it would be a bad idea to run active x-overs at all 4 corners with one 4 channel amp. Like run both left tweeters off of one channel, both left woofers off one channel, etc

q15 box idea
can't hurt, as long as you account for the volume it will take up
-
1000 dB!
sounds kinda like the matterhorn, that shipping container thing
-
Fi Q18 enclosure...
the bigger your box, the larger the peak at tuning, so if you have a smaller box, when you tune high it wont be as peaky

Sealed subs to use?
I vote for single icon and put it in a box from poundthatsound

Incriminator Audio
Does anyone know where to get the T/S specs for IA subs? they aren't listed in the SSA shop or on the IA website (talking specifically about the lethal injection series

3 WMD18D2's or AQHDC318's
But we all do know, that the HDC3's are underrated... The alums can take 3k daily easy. But you're right, if you wanna burp 5k+ in each, invest in some better subs. So seeing around 2-3K each for burps (like he said earlier) should be fine if he does it in a smaller box

Help with designing...
Yea, but what determines the line length? Like what part of the driver? Vas, Qts,Sd,...?

Help with designing...
I'm kinda interested in doing a T-line or horn or ABC enclosure, just want to do something different, or at least see if it will work. I read a couple of articles on T-line design, but I don't really want to do that much math. I'm just looking for some general design guidelines/ what to expect in terms of results for those types of enclosures, which is probably a lot to ask, since there is a lot that goes into the design and fine-tuning of those enclosures. For example, if i wanted to do a T-line for a 10" woofer, how large of a "pipe" would I need? How much do I need to offset the driver from the end of the pipe? stuff like that...

budget 10" sq sub for home use
I'm using an eD 11Kv2 in a 2 ft^3 box tuned to 27 Hz, gets loud and sounds pretty good. I know a lot of people don't like eD, but the sub works great for me
