I have my sa-12 in a 1.95 cu. ft. box tuned to 31 hz I'm feeding it about 800 watts and it kills the lows but lacks on the higher notes (40hz+).

From what I've read the sa8 sealed does well with punchy bass like rock and stuff but not so well with hip hop and what not. I had one in a t-line and it sounded great, got pretty loud too. The only reason why I sold it was to get a sa12. If I were you I'd run a sa10 sealed because I believe it would be a little more musical.

Port firing direction depends on the vehicle. In trunk applications I prefer port and sub firing towards the trunk.

He does take awhile to build and ship because he does this as a hobby but he does know what he's doing and the sub I got from him looked brand new and works perfectly so don't hesitate to buy from him just expect to wait a little while.

Dude that is the biggest 8BOX i ever seen its twice the size of the box i have for my sundown sa-8's!! That box looks big to me too but it says on youtube it's .6 - .7 cubes, must just have a big port. Anyways I have 1 sa-8 and it's definitely enough if your not a basshead, it makes my car rattle and my seats vibrate.

i have the jl 12w3v2 a pair of them in a 3 cube box tuned to 34hz i took a banket and stuffed the one side full and mounted the sa-12 in the other side and as im still trying to be easy with it breaking it in properly its already hitting just as hard and sound quality is just about the same i love it and cant wait for the other to come then its going to be time for a new box and a bigger amp how does everyone feel about the ap18001d or the ap15001d ? or is there something else that will feed these guys the power they want for around the same price ? The audiopipes are very decent for the price and they actually do rated power but if you can afford it I'd go with a sundown saz-1500d.

I got a cheap Cobra one my brother gave me and it has saved me from a few tickets. I'm not much of a speeder, there's just some retarded speed limits around where I live. A couple that if you actually go the speed limit people get pissed off and tailgate you all day.

How does this box look for a SA-8? I listen to mostly hip-hop and r&b and I will be placing forty-five degree cutouts in the corners so the port area stays the same all the way through and sub will be inverted.
