  1. Sealed 6ft^3 is fine... need close to 8.5-9 ported.
  2. Tired... had to be up for work at 5am this morning.
  3. Same this as what I threw out there in this thread: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...c=10655&hl=
  4. http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18126
  5. Don't even have 3.5ft^3 gross with those dimensions.
  6. Amp puts out the least amount of power at tuning due to impedance rise at the tuned frequency... just use 60Hz if you must use the DMM method,
  7. Ya.. and no pics because I got to into working on the car & forgot lol
  8. Only shitty amps will give up the smoke with too much voltage.... Too low on the other hand is the amp killer.
  9. Put the kick & door pod on the driver's side all together & laid down a ton of B-Quiet (~3-4 layers) to the door metal inside & outside. HOLY HELL. I could seriously go subless... the output from just one SLS was insane, although quite boomy if allowed to go right down to 20Hz due to the IB arrangement. I have a lot of playing around to do with the tuning, and need to lay down a bunch of deadener & closed cell foam on the door panel, since it will resonant at certain frequencies. Also, the NS-3 is actually quite good in the kicks playing right up to 20k, although the top end is lacking in detail. Now, to finish the other side & get the fun started.
  10. You can talk to Exodus Audio as well.
  11. 15" sealed Q in the spare tire well. 18" needs 2x the air space of the 15"... I don't know if you can get 4ft^3 for a 18" if you want to keep it stealthy & trunk usable.... if you don't care, then go with the 18" You could fit a 8" in the doors (6x9 holes), 3" wideband midrange in the dash (2.5" speaker, just over 4" hole) & small tweeter on the pillars or sail panels if you want to go 3 way active. Or a 2-way active option is a 7" mid (seas ER) or 8" mid (Peerless Exclusive) & large format tweeter in the dash, like the Peerless HDS (which would fit perfectly in that location). Powered all with a 100W+ 4 channel & 1000-1500W sub amp. Will also need processing to go active, and that depends on whether you replace the HU or not & what you want to do there.
  12. Push-Pull is a internet car audio phenomenon. Do either a push, or pull configuration, not both. HVAC systems don't do it, so doing it in this application makes no sense either. I recommend not totally enclosing the amplifiers though... unless you can give it a couple inches of room all around the amp.
  13. That DD vs. Sundown thread just got re-bumped by a CCA idiot. Fuck.
  14. You're right... I'm one of those people.
  15. Didn't mix it right then... hold it upside down for about a minute to get the rum to mix well with the brew. P.S. I suggested the turbo corona... Bacardi Limon in a bottle of corona.
  16. Has to be more than 6-7ft then... Try closer to 17-18ft. 2ga. wire, that long, requires around 150-175A of fusing.
  17. Will let you know when I get it all done.
  18. Fuses on the wires... for the wire. Fuses on the amp... for the amp. How long is this 2ga. wire? Current carrying capacity is determined by the cross section of conductor & the length of the conductor.
  19. I'll get a pic up tomorrow... pics of a kick that looks like a green little rock aren't very visually pleasing lol
  20. I've never had a need to do molds... IMO they are really only needed if you are going to mass produce. If you are having trouble with vertical or overhead glassing, glue the matt or cloth to the tape/plastic/tin foil (whatever you use to keep the 'glass off of the parts being formed to. Let it set, then wet it.
  21. And most farmers don't actually use them. TMI Ya... I know. We have cattle at the farm
  22. Finished the sanding/bondo on the pass. kick panel. Just have to cover it now. Also almost done fibreglassing the pass. door pod. Should be all done by Wednesday, then I can get to the wiring, deadening & tweaking. Then the tuning...
  23. TOP
  24. Send me $97 and we have a deal I might be making a PE or Madisound order before I come down, so I can bring it back. Something along the lines of a retarded amount of wideband drivers for an array of some sorts. You mean you might be having me make an order? Ya... pretty much. Maybe I'll help you out there big guy
