  1. Only 12's atm. And the price difference is quite large between the two as well.
  2. Maybe you should have done more research on what could be done with the damage that was done to the board.
  3. He hasn't been on since the 3rd and this was his last post. I'd guess Rusty is at CES.
  4. Depends on the tune of your box and the resonant frequency of your car, and and and and and. Too many variables. You have a good chance at 140. Execution needs to be damn near perfect though.
  5. I'm guessing (not having looked this up) that the Audio comes through the 880 via the Aux input.
  6. He'll need more than just the big three if he goes with two BTL's and wants to power them to the flexing point of his car.
  7. 4 18's would definitely be loud with the right box, right amp and good electrical. Perhaps you should start with the supporting gear. Have you done any upgrading so far?
  8. one thread in one place.. is all you need.
  9. Either a sealed box or one that has an extremely low port. 29hz or so.
  10. Umm yeah enough of that. Don't post in this thread if all you want to do is fite. bish.
  11. The amount of power each driver gets is entirely dependent on how the manufacturer of your crossover splits the power in that passive set. I highly doubt its a 50/50 split though. Probably closer to 20/80.
  12. you only need one thread bud. We'll delete this one
  13. 12" BL ported for Rap.
  14. I'd do that, but I would also run a second line to the negative on the front battery to the rear battery. You also need to put a fuse 18" from each positive battery post.
  15. You don't think two 10" ICON's (rated at 900wrms btw) can handle a 1500D? You're so wrong. I know someone running 3000w to a pair of 15" ICON's. Listen I didn't say they can't I said I don't think they can do to the fact they are rated at 900w rms and that I haven't heard anything about them until an rep suggested them to me. Now if they can handle 1500+ w for daily then that is great. I know that the Fi BL is rated at 1000wrms but I'm not sure if it can handle 1500+ w for daily. Now I'm looking for SQ and pair that would match up to my amp and I was told that the Icon had good SQ. thanks for your input and btw I'm not looking to get bashed here I'm looking for help. Chill out Zins, you're not getting bashed. You're just taking it the wrong way. Go back and read word for word what I said.

  17. He didn't ask about the SD-1v2 though.. He asked about the ICON vs the lvl4 DC audio sub. back to the OP: You're really trying to compare apple's to oranges. The ICON is an SQ based driver that happens to get loud in ported boxes. The Level4 Driver is a SPL driver.
  18. Any budget? What about an amp you'd like to use?
  19. Use a swaging tool + solder. you can get the tool at home depot.
  20. What are you trying to do with it? You could tune lower perhaps, or try an Iso-baric enclosure. Either way, you need a specific goal in mind before you start blowing your money on random enclosures.
  21. They're not so smart.. I tried all sorts of clever things with mine and it was still retarded.
  22. Strap a 40.1 on the BTL and watch it cry.
