Suggest me some 12"
Why do you feel the need to run the 20.1 to its "full" potential? (which, btw is not 1800w - its significantly more than that). Coming from the Mag in a sealed box.. have you ever tried it ported? It might give you what you want.

My new install
Basically, what I'm saying.... Use one tweeter. I doubt the deck you have has the necessary time alignment functions to make that setup "really" sound good.

Lookie what I saw today. 180.2db's
awww I hate working on sundays.

Cone area VS Power
That's entirely dependant upon too many things. What type of box? Ported? What frequency is the port? What is the resonant frequency of the car? I could go on for days about this. Pick one or the other, it'll be a 50/50 chance either way.

SPL to SQ I need advice for componet placement
Something to consider before you start sweating over where to put the tweeters is Time Alignment and Delay. If you have a good Head unit, place the tweeters anywhere you want, and then measure the delay time to the mid. Use that time to back up the tweeter signal to the mid and you'll be in better shape than if the drivers were right next to each other.

The Sundown SAZ-1500D from the SSA shop would fit you nicely. If you email them, they can give you a better price.

active setup/processing help
As far as speaker setup goes, I would keep the active 3-ways in the front since you seem pretty set on that. For the Passenger doors and the rear speakers, just do some Coaxial speakers. I'd connect the rear four together and set it up so you can turn them off or down if you're the only one in the car.

Not realy new but.....
- The best pair of 10's for $250?
on another note, cheap tens that sound good but are probably not the best in the SPL department... Try the Mach5 MAW-10.- The best pair of 10's for $250?
Why bother bumping your budget up? TBH $50 isn't going to effect the drivers whatsoever. Why does it have to be 2 10's? Like M5 said, a single 12 or even a 15 is well within your $250 price range.- Need help on woofer choice!
Either the Q or the SSD would be fine with the power you'll have. If you're looking to save space, go with the Q in a sealed box.- New SQ build with 15" Q
Titebond III FTMFW!!- electrical systems
ROFL You won't need to upgrade at all if you run just that amp. In fact, you might be able to run 4 of them before you need to upgrade anything.- Active component ??? for M5 or others

There are a lot of good pioneeer's in the shop here that are in your price range.- sony mobile es cdx-c90
lol, what was that accessory that added digital eq externally to it? That'd be a nice combo.- what size power wire
Body resistance low in comparison to a foot or two of 4 ga or 1/0 copper wire? Are you daft? 2.4 ten-thousandths of an ohm per foot for 4ga. Compared to a car body with an unknown path to ground and unknown electrical continuity to ground as well as one made from a material with 10x the resistance of copper, I'll take the extra foot or two of copper to get to the frame. Go measure resistance on a unibody car. It's as low as most wire. I was an nonbeliever once too.- is this head unit gonna b ok w my system
Running a lot of power has nothing to do with the head unit being ok. I've never heard of that brand, I try to stick with the tried and true. You can't really beat Eclipse's video decks for the price. Best screens I've seen under $2k.- sony mobile es cdx-c90
That's debatable I'm sure. But that is a supremely nice deck.- Mark (ssaudio)

What was your favorite system? And what car was it in?- Mark (ssaudio)
