electrical strain
The battery can die or explode depending on the strain. The alternator will eventually die and other electrical components can be starved of electricity to the point that they die as well. Why do you even have capacitors? you know they do nothing to help your slectrical system right?

Freekin lucked out...
Holy jesus. I envy you. If you lived one state closer, i would make you get me the same deal.

I see very VERY dark rear tint in your future.

Power Up Grade With Maxx-Link
I thought you could do more than 2 amps off of one maxx link, but I may have read wrong.

strapping question
Only one thread on each topic you post is necessary.

Ohm load question
The maxxlink is just a glorified signal splitter/line driver. Nothing more. With four amps there is no possible way to get 2 ohms to each amp. If you had gotten DVC 2 ohm subs, then you'd be in business.

Halo 3 FTW. Your work is nice too

Hello SSA!
? Introduce yourself!

Will this work?
Did someone say Sundown SAZ-3000D???
-
My final decision
Try the SSA ICON. A Single 15 would love the ported box size you're able to fit. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/shop/in...p;productId=194

new tweeters :)
Why not just round off the existing plate using a Dremel or something similar?

Eating Fuses...
So basically what was happening was that your sub(s) (presumably wired to a 1 ohm load) was causing the amp to draw more current than that fuse could support. Thus blowing the fuse.

new tweeters :)
ehh.. glue remover? Kind of looks like the flange may be important to hold the thing together though.. Maybe I'm just veiwing it wrong. Can you take a pic that encompasses the whole thing?

which amp
Another great point to consider. I don't know what electrical upgrades you've done, but if you want to keep the system under a certain cost, using amps that draw less current would be a wise choice.

Eating Fuses...
Plexiglass is quite brittle, you need lexan. As far as the fuses go... I can't believe you admitted to having an 8awg ground. Power wire and ground wire MUST be the same size for adequate current flow. Find out how much the amp pulls in amperage. If its higher than 80a, then there's your problem. The amp is overdrawing the fuse.

Intro to systems
I can comment all day long on your electrical needs. If you plan on running 3000w later in life the minimum gauge wire you need to run is 1/0awg. Since you want to run 2 Sundown SAZ-1500D's I add more of the same gauge when you buy the second amp (read 2-3 runs total). For your first simple setup with just one amp, you should look at the Big 3 upgrade and a slightly bigger/better battery under the hood to replace the stocker. Nothing crazy, just something with a little more reserve and a higher capacity.

which amp
I like Eclipse stuff a lot, and most of the time it all sounds really good. But you can't really beat Jacob's customer service and his Forum here.

not to sound stupid ?
The item you have is a sonic processor. Not a Crossover.

saz1500d stuck in protect
Try disconnecting everything except the power wire, remote and ground wire and see what happens.
-
wiring upgrade?
He'll need both actually. At least a 200A alternator and perhaps a battery about the size of the Kinetik HC1800.

madisound x-over for seas combo?
ok kool, I wasn't sure if you had other plans than what the crossover was actually for.
