  1. Horay! Welcome we won't hold you being french against you jk You'll have to post some pics of your current and new setups.
  2. What are you looking to achieve here? When you say you want more, do you mean more volume? Because you'll probably get more volume with the BL's in a ported box, but they won't sound near as good as the W6's. Do what denim suggested and build a ported box for the W6's and see if that cures your bass hunger. If it doesn't and you still want more, orrrr you just want to change your setup, look into the Q instead of the BL.
  3. What kinda of info interests you?
  4. You should like it here! Enjoy your stay.
  5. You want to be UNIQUE with a Type R or other name brand sub? I doubt that is going to happen... Stay with FI, or better yet. Check out SSA's own ICON. I can all but guarantee you'll be the only on in your city running that.
  6. uhhhh holy crap those are gonna need a lot of juice. maybe you should get the second alt right away instead of later lol.
  7. sent you paypal for a 15"
  8. Everyone raves about the Q's. I should probably try one someday.
  9. I just got an ICON 15" that we'll be building a wallish enclosure in my truck for. I'm ecstatic about it, to say the least. I've seen what these subs can do in person with a street box. Which makes me want to build and SPL box and feed it some real power. I doubt you'll be unhappy with either sub. And I can only speak for the ICON. But it would be sweet to see it in more cars.
  10. where's the one of you guys holding hands?
  11. There's a mag for sale in the FS forum right now. Buyer, meet seller: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=10032
  12. You need around 1.7 to 2 cubes for each sub. Plan on about a 3.5cuft box ported around 32hz.
  13. I don't see how the cold could hurt them. As long as you slowly dropped the temp and slowly brought it up. If you do it to quick I'd imagine something would crack internally.
  14. Keeping the amps cooler is essential to higher numbers. Also just as important is keeping the subs cooler. If the coils go into thermal compression, you're going to lose a lot of deebeez. Someone told me once that he'd seen competitors freeze their subs and hook them up right before the burp to gain that extra edge.
  15. What's your budget like? And do you have an amp yet? Take a look at the package section of the SSA store. Some of the Sundown/ICON combos may be a good fit for you at a reasonable price. If nothing else, you can at least see some general specs on the Soundplinter drivers fuzzyping mentions.
  16. mmmmmm curly frys. but really, what made you go with the clarions in the first place? You mostly see those at car shows inverted in mounds of shiny fiberglass because the ass is so pretty.
  17. If you have the electrical for it, it would be a very potent amp for the BTL's. What specific configuration are you going for on the BTL? Keep in mind the amp almost pulls 800a of current. Have you thought about what you might do with the electrical?

horay for walls, and friends that build them for you
  19. The placement on those ports are pretty sweet. I like the color too.
  20. I met a guy who goes by SlickRick on some forums. He had a single 12" Avalanche powered by a Directed 600D. He hit a 142 legal on the TL. Box was ported insanely high from what I recall though.
