  1. The entire motor is different. Can't say on the soft parts, but I would imagine those changed a bit as well.
  2. Use a wire coat hanger. Make a small hook at one end and loop the wire on it and tape it in place with electrical tape. Try to make that point as skinny as possible to aide getting it through the hole. Then just Fish it through.
  3. I doubt you'll have the space in a beetle to fit a box large enough for 4 12" BTL's.
  4. Your amps won't survive long at .25 ohms a piece.
  5. What?
  6. WTF? Why not? Resistance will probably be less in a unibody car by simply running a line to the battery instead of grounding to the car body. When grounding a piece of equipment, the best ground is the one with the least amount of resistance. Or as close to 0 ohms as possible.
  7. You didn't give a budget, how was he supposed to know that?
  8. Build a transmission line for them.
  9. Sub displacement is usually so minimal, it won't change the sound noticeably.
  10. http://www.db-r.com/sell/store2/index.php?...products_id=205 Get DVC1 subs.
  11. Do us a favor and take a couple of measurements with a DMM. Measure at the alternator, at front battery, after the fuse, at the HC600, and finally at the amp. Post those results here. Do it with the car idling.
  12. You do not have BP power.
  13. Check eBay's completed listings.
  14. Not all cars produce 14v+.
  15. My bad. They weren't 6x9's. http://www.realmofexcursion.com/videos/Sony/xs1121.1.wmv Granted, it looks like an AudioControl meter which are known to be 3-6db off of a Termlab. EDIT EFFFFFFFFFFFFF I found it. http://www.realmofexcursion.com/videos/Various/6x9.1.wmv 169.2db
  16. If the fuse was too small, it would have popped by now. Go get a DMM and check your voltage at the battery, before the fuse, after the fuse and at the amp. Post those numbers here.
  17. The best part is that he took a video of his computer screen. Seriously?
  18. Get two 15" Xcon's if you want to be different.
  19. Everything you're looking for is already publicly available. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/icon.html
  20. Low voltage? Over heating? Wired too low? You're not giving us much to go on here.
