  1. They don't have to be strictly for car audio. Lots of people use Home Audio drivers in their cars.
  2. Hows the windshield on this one holding up?
  3. certainly.. you'll start to choke the sub without enough port, and you'll experience port noise.
  4. I doubt you'll ever be able to use it as a 10" enclosure again unless you plan on using 3" of spacers.
  5. Size has nothing to do with what type of music he listens too btw. Just find out how much space he has and go from there for what size to purchase.
  6. lol no. Also... an "SQ" system has a helluva a lot more to do with the front stage, processing and deadening than the sub.
  7. Since when is anything over 1500w practical?
  8. http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/Massive_Audio_P3000.1/
  9. Shielded speakers refer to magnetically shielding around the magnet of the speaker. This prevents distortion on old CRT style TV's and monitors.
  10. Think about what? You haven't asked any sort of question here nor supplied any information.
  11. You can do it yourself using these tools http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/home/index.php/boxtools
  12. You'll have to go through an authorized Brick and Mortor shop. They don't do online for Ascendant Audio.
  13. The 18" SSD would be fine if you get it fully loaded. I'd tune quite a bit higher than 26hz though..
  14. Another question is how much space are you willing to give up. The BTL 15" wants a pretty large box, moreso with two of them.
  15. awwwww I want that saw!
  16. Because you can only wire a DVC1 ohm to .5 ohms or 2 ohms. And since most amplifiers make the most power at 1 ohm... those final impedance figures don't help you much.
  17. Can you even use the H701 with the W505? Last I heard you couldn't. Which is why I stuck with my W205.
  18. You'll need to be a little more respectful around here if you expect to keep getting your questions answered. Please improve your grammar as well.
  19. You're not talking about mid and mid bass though. You're talking about two different subwoofer crossover frequencies. This is only going to lead to tears. Your theory applies for front stage.. but only to a certain point. More drivers without the right processing won't help anything.
  20. You may have misread me. Don't waste any money on the rear stage.
  21. ok.. so basically, you just said, "I don't care, I'm doing it my way anyway". Nice.
  22. If you go with Dynamat, make sure you get the Butyl Extreme and not the cheap asphalt crap.
  23. Less is more in an SQ system. The way you're describing doing things will only result in unfavorable sounds and cancellation. You're going about this whole thing wrong as well. SQ =! Loud. Pick one. Three amps on three subs is also difficult way to wire and make sure every thing is the same. One large amp would have been the way to go.
