  1. Just because of you comment on them. my boy starts his truck on a HC1400 its a Chevy Silverado V8 4.8L Not even close to the same electrical power that a diesel needs to start. Diesels rely on pressure and "glow plugs" to fire their mixture. To crank the engine over to obtain that pressure takes some serious juju
  2. Found a good amp for cheap here The Clarion DPX1000.2. Specs here
  3. Welcome to SSA, you'll need to familiarize yourself with the BL FAQ located here Also, check out this thread on impedance rise.
  4. I don't really have an recommendations on budget amps... but for batteries and subs.. Powermaster D680 - $109 Mach5 MJ-18M - $155 OR Incriminator Audio Lethal Injection 15" - $219
  5. You could in theory do that, but you won't have any Time correction. A better option is to use the H701 if it'll work with your deck.
  6. You should PM or email him.
  7. The imprint stuff isn't really ment to run 3-way active. You could do it, but you'll lose your ability to run a subwoofer, and even then, it won't be ideal because you won't be able to bandpass the Midbass

Indeed, everything about lithium is nice. Mostly though because of the size reduction and the smaller weight.
  9. Here's me telling you.
  10. Lots of people run the wire through the port. If you don't mind the way it looks, just do it.
  11. Tune higher to be louder, lower to be more musical. Rule of thumb right there.
  12. Parts Express has a sweet Bar Grill that most of us use. Chrome - http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.c...tnumber=260-440 Black - http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.c...tnumber=260-441
  13. Go here for help with Aero ports http://www.psp-inc.com/psp-inc.com/public_..._calculator.cgi
  14. How is your box, "not really tuned". It's either a tuned box.. or it's sealed.
  15. SSaudio (our admin) has this unit. He used to have the AVIC-D3, and he loves this WAY more. hopefully he'll pop in here and give you his thoughts.

Indeed, the Crunch GP3000D would be a great investment. Pair it with a set of Q's with the BP power option, and you'll be good to go.
  17. This is a lot of work.. My PAC bypass was a BREEZE to install and I don't have to do anything to start playing movies.
  18. You could use aero ports and put them outside the box.
  19. Stinger makes a good battery, if you can afford that.. go ahead. More to the point though, there are more batteries to be had for the money that are just as good and possibly bigger. Check out the SSA Store for the Powermaster batteries that are there, you get a discount when you add them to your cart.
  20. I've got a G1.. which coincidentally has some of the same apps as the iPhone. You should check out Shazam. It'll listen to a recorded song and then analyze it and tell you who sings it and what album its from. Bad ass.
  21. Sure it's possible, but before I ruled out that it wasn't helpful.. I'd check the phasing on all of your wiring and components.

I wouldn't expect very much out of any amplifier you buy for $10..
  23. Indeed. 1 cube sealed. If he intended to get loud, there are other woofers he should have chosen.
  24. Any Maxxsonics dealer should be able to get you one. IIRC, they're not that expensive for what they do. http://www.maxxsonics.com/corporate/news_0...f_MAXXLINK.html
