Why does it need to be an 18" sub? There are several companies with very potent 15" subwoofers.

Would you keep the Rux connected to the H701? or would you tune and disconnect? The H701 is probably a little overkill for what you're doing (overkill for me too, but I already have an alpine controller). If you look solely at MSRP, the H701/C701 is $150 more than the 360.2. But it'll let you do more.

I doubt it was a signal issue. Sounds more like low impedance or a short.

Any budget restrictions? Probably not since you're thinking of Powermaster. Another option is a Deka Intimidator.

That's about as simple as it gets dude. Follow the positive and negative lines.

Do you have the double cab or the extended cab? Stereo Integrity has a shallow mount that should take everything else out in the SQ category.

So your subs are DVC2 then? Are those amps strappable? You could wire both subs together at 2 ohms and put them on one amp. It'd be about the same power. If you want louder, you need to step up to a ported box.

If you port through the deck, the majority of the sound you'll hear is the tuning frequency. Not that that's bad.. just letting you know.

Not that you'll be able to audibly hear a difference in SQ. You may hear a bit in SPL, but not enough to make you *gasp*. A benefit to a larger box is running less power. You could always use the recommended box size and then stuff it about half full with polyfill. That should get you an extra .2^3ft of "space".

If you have the electrical backbone to support 2000w, then go with the BTL setup.
