  1. sketchup is about it..but like matt side, it's a CAD like program 5/8 will work, brace it and you'll be fine. glue and brad it together, stay away from the edges, and it will last a long while. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  2. Yeah, started up fine and sounded good, but who knows...those SOHC fours seem to be bulletproof but I wouldn't trust it if it's sat outside for that long. I don't feel like doing a total gasket replacement just yet lol, i understand about that. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  3. jim, i just popped unto the local craigslist.... 83 nighthawk $600 i had an 85 version and it's still one of my favorite bikes of all time. 81 yamaha xs850 $1250 72 bmw r75 w sidecar $5100 i know that beemer is out of your price range, but i couldn't help it. there were a few without pics, but i didn't bother posting those. that nighthawk would make a great first scoot. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  4. So offer $800. It's a buyer's market right now. My first offer was $1000 I have a feeling Kent was right and I won't be finding something until December or so... keep looking, one will pop up. with what you just posted, i would guess that the bike has sat outside with no protection it's whole life. that would explain the faded instruments, the seat replacement and the rust with just 4500 miles on it. did you hear it run? otherwise, sounds like you made a good decision to walk. but don't sweat it, one will pop up when you least expect it. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  5. green, orange, black, orange, green, green, green... no shit gonna get started up in here, lol wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  10. sounds like a plan. maybe start a thread somewhere? as a note, thursday i tested for and recieved my orange belt. onto green! the sai's are ordered, lol. now i just gotta get in shape and make sure that september fight is on the books. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  11. the Ti is easy to find, like the pair of 12s i have sitting here, blown, doing nothing. also, the lightning audio x2 series is a bolt on tc motor, i believe it too is the 3hp. i have a working one of those for sale. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  12. well, what is it?? and captain, you did, technically, say something by saying you had nothing to say. i think. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  13. T.O.P. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  14. craigshelper.com is your friend. *just starting to try and catch up I found something since I posted that, but thanks - I'll be looking for parts in the coming months as the previous owner made some modifications that I want to bring back to stock Pictures this weekend yay!! jim bought a scoot!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  15. the deadner wasn't in when the vid was shot, eh? should've said that in the first place, lol. then we wouldn't have gone back and forth. i was assuming you meant the dynamat was in the truck at the time of the vid, hence my comments. otherwise, i'll agree, it can't be completely stopped, but i'll wager it sounds nothing like that video. and the s18x was loud, very loud. i just didn't have the electrical to keep up with the amp. but it still embrassed many, many people. and the foam helps. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  16. not trying to be an ass, but i call bs. if you already have dyna mat on there, then it's junk, lol. add another layer. it can be stopped. don't forget a little expanding foam in the "T" brace if nothing else. there's a vid of my truck and the s18x, and you can't hear rattles. not like in yours. so something is amiss. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  17. a small belle. mch600d...can be anywhere on the net for under $500, most are around $400 new. kicker zx700.5 would work as well, and under yoru bidget. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  18. bs. a single layer of quality deadner will fix your roof. i had an 18" solox in my 04 silverado xcab off 4kwrms with a single layer of brown bread on the roof. very little, if any rattle, compared to what your is doing. you have to put deadner on both sections over the driver and passanger and over the entire rear passanger area. mine wasn't the only one i had to work on either. i've done countless xcab silverado installs, and each one got a layer of deadner. and yeah, maybe it isn't completely stopped, but it's shit tons better then what you have. so buy 12sq ft of deadner, that's what the roof needs. and fix that rattle, lol. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  19. you have to be over driving the sub. i fed my ICON 1100wrms for a long, long time and i've never had any smell, after breakin. and i like my music loud. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  20. wtf?? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  21. that's how i figured ya... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  22. what?? i only speak the truth. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  23. buy my kicker kx400.1. well within your budget at $125 shipped to your door, in the lower 48 of course. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  24. words of true love... how nice. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  25. from my understanding, multipule layers can restrict, or stop, box resonation. which is what it's intended purpose is. however, if the box resonates at or near peak frequency, you are hurting your score. at least that's my understanding. i've seen scores drop quite a bit by adding a second layer, or adding in a brace. but i've also seen it go the other direction as well. the only sure way to know is to test. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
