  1. all the math is correct, the only problem is, with the port, u forgot to figure in the wood thickness in ur displacement. it's actually going to displace about .6ft^3, leaving u with a 1.7ft^3 net box. also, according to this port calculator, ur port need to be 33.17 inches long...but i'd just do 33". so, using a 33" long port, 13 x 2 port area..we have (not figuring in end correction, which i don't feel is necessary for daily drivers, unless ur anal about things) .68ft^3 of port displacment.. we have .18ft^3 of driver displacment, plus the port is .86ft^3 of total displacement inside the box....we are aiming for 1.9ft^3 total volume, so we need 2.76ft^3 gross internal voume... here's the box u need to build.... 14.5t x 32.25w x 13.5d. that will five u about 2.78ft^3 gross...or 1.92 net...close enough...lol.. port, 13t x 2w x 33l wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  2. all u have here is 1.28ft^3 gross... make ur box 15x15x16....after sub displacment, u'll have 1.35ft^3.. or, if height is an issue..go 14x16x16.25...will be just a touch larger then 1.35ft^3 net wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  3. there is a real close guesstimate up there somwhere concerning the price... best bet? email mike directly, [email protected], to get the latest info on the rl-s wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  4. neither... get one type r 12 and smoke em both!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  7. lol..i like the g-class..very offroadish..and u bet ur ass i'd have it offroad! i'm not paying that kind of money NOT to take it into the mud, woods and rocks!! and links to the pinz? not sure i'm aware of that one... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  8. are those the specs AFTER u put in the sub, or jsut the general specs? reason being, if those are before the sub goes in, then ur displacment will drop and ur tuning will go higher...no tmuch, but still higher.. anyway, volume wise, yep, that's a decent box..tuning is high..might not be the best sounding thing going, but should work well enough untill u could build a proper box... how much power will u be sending it? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  9. the pg xenon is hideous..but he got it cheap, bnib...like pr price cheap... and it sounds pretty good in there... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  10. yeah, but all accounts, it should give the wrangler a run for it's money...price is high, but with a toyota, it's almost worth it. yep, it's ugly...but most decent off road vehicles are... think... h1 unimog m37 willys old land rover while some of those needed mods to truely perform, they all are considered some of the best for their inteded application... some that looked good while wheeling original fj early bronco cj newer land rover of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  11. the bcae calculator is asking for NET volume of enclosure...so u'd have to figure port displacment AFTER u get the length... so, if ur after the recommened 2.25ft^3 with two 4" ports, tuned to 28hz... the ports will be 35.5" long (showed 35.47, but i rounded up..isn't going to change anything.) so u will have to build a box with a gross internal volume of 3.12ft^3 to get the above mentioned numbers... edited..i forgot to figure in two ports... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  12. yeah, aaron(denim) would be one to ask about which way to fire ur sub..he's got a beemer of his own adn knows how hard it is to get the bass in the cabin... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  13. that's what we are here for bro!! and that's a sweet hook up! definittely build both and let us know ur thoughts on each! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  14. nice..can't wait for the build pics!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  19. find the DW crew pic, cut out dan and paste it in " pwned by the dw nukka !" very hey, how about fixing the link so the rest of us can see it?? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  20. if u set the gains properly, teh rl-p will take the 1100wrms. i fu try to get more then the sub is giving u ie: clip the amp, the sub will tell u about it. anyway...for ur application, a 1.8-2ft^3 ported box, tuned to 32-34hz with 25-30in^2 of port would work beautifully. converesly, a sealed box in the neighborhood of 1.25-1.35ft^3 would work as well. either would be a good choice with the ported offering more output with excellent sq, adn the sealed offering more sq qith great output. just set those gains right, and u should be good to go! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  21. steve, when i popped the trunk to take the pics of the install and saw my old hpo's.....man, i miss those things...i couldn't resist taking a few pics.. ryan, for bargin, entry level subs, IMO, the pr series just can't be beat. decent sq and the ability to get loud...at a price everyone can afford. and like u mentioned, they can handle quite a bit more then the suggested 250wrms, though the 500 ur friend's is seeing is the absolute top i'd ever recommend/apply. thanks for the compliments... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  22. they're probably just as expensive...lol... though. i'd take a few for fun... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  23. lmao...ur parttime job couldn't afford her.... but maybe a trade??? OUCH!!!! she just hit me?!?!?! dunno why.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  24. black..see no reason why an amp can't be mounted straight up as long as it can cool itself properly... and the new Z06...wow..i would sell my wife and kid for that... well, maybe not the kid... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  25. sealed rl-p and 500wrms would be killer....aim for anywhere between 1.25-1.45ft^3..i would opt for around 1.35 with that power...that should be awsome!!! i have a 12rl-p sealed off 750wrms in 1.25ft^3 and love it!! (like everyone didn't know) wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
