im a DieHard SPL Freek... but i do like to hear the words and the rest of the music... so you could consider me an SQXtream kind of guy... Fart cannons and SQ have NO commonalities. SQXtream is a stupid description of what you like. You only want SPL and a front stage that plays loudly enough to hear words which has absolutely nothing to do with SQ. If your bass is exaggerated at all it isn't SQ and there aren't really compromises on the word, either you want it to blend or you don't. In your case you just want SPL from the subs and the front stage and nothing more. a few years ago, that was my exact description of sq, being able to hear the words over the loudest bass i can get. however, ///M5 is right, that's nowhere near sq, and the term SQXtream, to me would apply to someone like richard clarke, not steve meade (no offense intended steve). no, it's far to easy to make the fronts kept up with the bass and it still not sound good. the current rage from up by chicago is using little pa horns in the back to blast the highs to the front. yep, they are amped. yep, they sound like ass. yep, they keep up with the biggest of systems. again, ///M5 nailed this one.SQXtream isn't anything any basshead will achieve until they can blend a 150db sub system with their front stage and not be able to pinpoint the subs and have the staging correct. someone achieves that, they can use SQXtreme. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

no biggie, no need to apologize. the rl-p12 just outsold the rl-i12 to the point mike didn't see a need for it. the rl-i10 and rl-i8 were kept as there are no rl-ps in that size, and they sold (as one knows if they are waitng for an rl-i8) themselves off the shelves. i have one of the first first gen rl-p12s sold online, and the very first rl-i8 ever sold. i've been a soundsplinter fan for quite a long time. only soundsplinter line i don't have is the rl-s, and i got to play with that.(would like an 18 version in house!!) wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

nope, didn't notice that...while a decent idea, still, i think, poorly executed. the install is just cheesy. especially for the gear used. also, i agree with jim's above post. tuned a bit high for a sub that's supposed to be all about sq. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

The problem is those are complete opposites, you need to define one or the other and then compromise. depends on how much power he has planned. some of the loudest things going are in smaller packages. but they have crap tons of power, and generally sound like ass. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Still saddens me how the injuries have messed with Griffey, the guy is what baseball should be. We wouldn't be saying anything about Bonds if he stayed healthy. he has the sweetest swing(griffey) i use a signature griffey bat for baseball, though my swing is nothing like his. i haven't seen the report, hopefully a-rod isn't on it. i think he'll topple bonds, and i like how he plays the game. he didn't choke as much in the playoffs this year either. and that's all the baseball i know, lol wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I've never really liked A-rod that much. He's always been portrayed (through the media) as a cocky arrongant bastard, but since his forgoing his agent, I have come to have much respect for him. The man can play, perhaps better than anyone. He makes all this money, yet comes out everynight and plays. That's how you know he truly loves the gam, and I don't know how many of the guys still play just for that. I was pissed when he came to the Bronx, but have grown to tolerate him. Perhaps now, I can actually enjoy him as a player, but we'll see. At this point in the game, health is all that matters. yeah, foregoing his agent to stay in new york was cool, though necessary to stay in the game. i don't think anyone is worth $275m to play a game, but i understand the fact he brings in money for everyone as well. not too mention what he's putting his body through, though baseball isn't quite as hard on the body as say football or hockey. but he does play the game. and he plays it everynight he's supposed to. and he plays it the right way. and that's why i like him. hopefully, he'll stay healthy for 10 more years and finish on top of the sport. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

very glad to read that. so if the truck is completely sealed up, it's loud inside? open a door and it goes away? like a front door? if so, that's completely backwards from most installs, usually opening a door/window up front increases the output. does either amp have a phase switch? i know the clarion has several switches, i can't recall what teh pr has. i also have seen a few installs using the clarion where we at first thought it was a sub issue and it was simply due to the amp not being set correctly. in all cases, the ower had tried to adjust stuff and flipped a switch or two and there wasn't any bass. make sure that everything on the amp is correct, no switches are in between positions. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
