Welcome to the IHoP
i might be going to jail today! had an argument with a customer (who is 6'5", at least 350, trying to look like a badass, compared to my 6'2", 235pds. with fro, i'm at least 6'5") over james' carpet job on his enclosure. (all that is wrong is the cuts around the ports is a bit shaky, we were out of good razor blades). dude basicly got all huffy and puffy and i told him that he either needed to shut up or do something (we did his install/ box build for what amounts to $150 or so) and take his jank ass shit to stereo one. as he left he said he'd catch me elsewhere and they might just cal the cops. i said there wasn't a need to look, i was right there and more then willing. 20 minutes later i'm talking to the local chief of police. told him to told what he had to do. yesterday, get a call from above moron and his wife. they want scott to resolve the issue (read wanting more free stuff or me fired, or both) or they are pressing charges. woowhooo!! stupid chickenshit motherfuckers, lol. mr tough guy, and his wife wears the pants. oh well, gotta keep things interesting. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Whomever designed my car...
many cars with rivets, lol. i love the ones where the speaker/spacer plate are one and the same, so you have to remove the cone/spider from the spacer in order to use it. we typically just bash them on the floor, lol. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

a lil someting i like to share.
i have to disagree with you my friend. some cars comes with already good amount dampening material already installed some doesn't come with not eve at least a decent amount of dampening material. and if your going with a small system and your car comes with a decent amount of dampening material you really dont need more since the beginner set up will never make your doors or roof really rattle. and even your doors speakers with the factory dampening material will never pick up unwanted peaks or door resonances. when your car is not equipped with dampening material or it comes with cheap like some ford vehicles just come with a really slim layer of plastic you do really need dampening material... when i put the parenthesis i had this in mind. if you want u can take alook again or i will psot it again.. "(when needed)" i guarantee you ///m5 can show that no car (save maybe a real highend bmw or mb) comes with enough sound deadening. and with his taste, setup, even with a single 8 subwoofer, he will dampen the hell outa a vehicle. he's after absolute perfection. the box for his single 8 weighs in at over 90 pds, so it doesn't flex. while i'll agree that for most basshead installs, sound deadening isn't of upmost importance, bor someone like ///m5 who is after serious sq, it is indeed. and i agree with ///m5, today's cars don't have enough damping from the factory. you can never have too much, unless your chasing tenths on a meter. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Welcome to the IHoP
lol, the rl-i 8 is indeed a beast! got news on teh streetglide...my payment would go up $110 a month. friggin $22k for a motorcycle, lol. me thinks i'm keeping the train. i'm only paying $17k for it, hehe. maybe buy a different seat for trips. but damn, the glide sure did ride nice. the radio/cd player would be sweet to have on a 9 hour jog as well. 4 years of maintainence included, as well as life-of-cycle warranty on the powertrain. hell, i don't know. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Welcome to the IHoP
i'd bitch about something, but since i'm still here, and only i can change it, i'll spare everyone's eyes, lol. but i've really gotta do something soon. might be trading the nighttrain in on a streetglide. in pewter denim. a little more comfort on the longer rides while not going full bagger and keeping a hint of style. also, i'm on vacation next week! partly to remedy the first part of this post, the biggest part is just to road trip!! will possibly be heading towards NC and the ocean! anybody in line from southern illinois to north carolina? will be on the scooter, regardless of which one i own, lol. and with that.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

18 inch Rl-p Beast questions
i can attest to this, lol. got on to me about my subs being crossed over at ~80hz, lol....and while i didn't think i had enough substage, he thought i had a bit too much, lol.... 18s and upper frequency? especially rl-p? ain't happening. follow ///M5's advice, get your 18, tune it low and strengthen your midbass for the upper extension. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I cant install my HU!!
the underdash kit is junk. would not fit the contours of the dash at all. i see only three options...either airsaw the current factory location to accept a new single din unit (takes about 5 minutes), remove the liner from the glove box and mount there (did this once and retained enough area for a small pocket) or build a center console. we just finished up this last one in a truck with a pair of cupholders and 6x9's. nothing fancy, just some mdf and carpet. wiring is plain and simple like already mentioned. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
