werd, sqhertz is the prime example that with a little power, the lethal injection can still outperform with lower rms power

not really comparable, DLS and Sundown are in leagues of their own, but i would say their up there in that persective

just keep the amp and get a lethal injection

JVC units arent really that bad, a lot people assume its cheap, and I would agree the lower ends are, but the ones like this with 5V preouts, 24 bit dac, cant go wrong. I went from a Pioneer 780MP to a JVC KD-AR8500 and do not regret it one bit. My JVC has a 3 way active crossover, so I plan on running active, and got it for $200 on sonicelectronix. Its discontinued now so its a rare find, but this one you should not have any problems.

okay lets just say the lethal injection is a powerhouse, give it a little more than 600rms and port the bish to 32hz, you will be set. i have mines in a fisher customs 2.5 @ 32hz, and i need my comps turned up pretty high to blend in, yes the bass can overpower them, and i have DLS (aint cheap). then again i have a hatchback so you really feel it in the penor.

sounds like they sold you a blown amp, can you take the cover off and take a pic of the guts, check if anything burned, out of place, etc.

You will be better off getting another 1500D, or selling your current one and getting a 3000D

Either way, if your looking into IA subs, you wont be dissappointed.

awesome amp, for the price would have gotten the IA 20.1 but you still got a monster there. definitely hit up Dylan for that design, his work is very detailed, and he is not done until your satisfied with the design. and of course, BJ box ftw

yup moar power is needed, at first i thought me meant 187, but a Death Row. Its a 1000rms sub, and you only giving it half power, give it another 500 and that score should go up nicely.

ED Nine.1 amps are super underrated, most do 1500rms @ 1 ohm with a good electrical. If you buy a sub amp and 4 channel amp you get a discount, and most of the times they have promotions floating around. Q will bump pretty hard, get a decent box build tuned to 32hz and you will be set. Had a 12" Q and it pounded for being underpowered. But be sure you get a good set of components, the bass will definitely over drown your stock system.
