NO NO You're better off with two woofers on the MTX amp, you will kill a mayhem with that much power on a daily setup they're built like tanks but tanks can only take so much.

If you want the sub to be half way musical i'd tune lower... as Helotaxi stated even 35 is fairly high. If you're going to do a burp on it then tune higher, but for a daily system keep it under 35hz

Don't do what steve meade or Jonathon price did.. If you do Chop... i'm going to have to take one or several of your fingers. Make sure you have 412.18 In^2 of port MINIMUM! (assuming you're tuning to 33 hz, 374 In^2 at 30hz) Should be killer in the cutlass.

What ohm load do you want to run the amplifier on? 1 ohm, 2 ohm, 4 ohms?

What would your final load be? 1 ohm? To get down to a final 1 ohm load you would have to buy either dual 1's or dual 4's

to be honest, i would of grounded straight to your frame, the thickest metal you have will transfer the most power, you will usually get much less resistance than the factory locations.

My post remains, and it is my opinion Most sound like ass, anything in the current market just ditch the rears, buy a nicer component set, make either sail panels or a door pod, then your set.

SPL box is tuned much higher.. much higher to achieve higher SPL ratings, the low tuned box.. is well tuned low..

Mixed Power and ground, but that amps wouldn't turn on period if that was the case. You would see the magical black smoke. how did you jump the RCA's? lets see how you setup the strapping in the first place, also what RCA jumper are you using? brand name.

Positive and negative, if you were to switch the negative and positive around the amplifier would smoke, the diodes (i believe) are polarity sensitive

did you strap them correctly? is it going into protect? what was your final impedance on the woofers?
