You should really stop going mainstream, there are tons of companies (on this forum also) that sell great products for less then what you can get mainstream woofers for. The SSD's will blow away the type R's and so will SSA Icons for a similar price.

In your manual it should show you how to strap them, if they're strap-able. Be aware, if one amp fails.. it WILL cause the other amp to fail as well. I'd not only consider it, I'd make it mandatory. You're putting a very very very heavy woofer on 3/4" MDF is just a sign for disaster, are there any plans for bracing?

the new KK CCA is very good, same jacket as their higher grade wire, the 1/0 CCA can take up to 250 amps, as pure copper its from like 300-350+, i wouldn't sweat it at all. 2 runs of CCA 4 bucks > Singe run of kicker hyperflex 5 bucks.
