  1. ISNT IT ANNOYING TO READ WHEN THINGS ARE WRITTEN IN ALL CAPITALS AND THEN USE NO PUNCTUATION SO EVERYTHING IS A RUN ON SENTENCE THIS IS VERY OBNOXIOUS TO READ
  2. I have BOINC installed, have for awhile, never really understood how to set it up on teams. Just kinda sat there heh. Also I've had my sony for maaany years, still running great Well crap, should have told me. My team, SETI.USA can use all the help it can get. To add your self to a team, you have to select a project in the BOINC Manager ( in the projects tab), click on the "Your Account" or "project's name" button, it will load the project website. Then find the link towards the top left that says "Teams", find "SETI.USA" in the team listings, and click join team. SETI.USA has a full forum like this one. I believe i got it! Also added you too. Added me? To what? to my friends on SETI lol.
  3. I think HomeDepot and Lowes carry them. Regular torx screws will work too, they're often called "Star Drive".
  4. New enclosure, amp rack, etc will be bolted to the body of the car...As far as security screws I now have $2,500 in theft coverage...I was talking with someone and they said to just use regular screws on the subs due to insurance covering theft not damage (and people tend to damage subwoofers if you use security screws..). I agree though recones are alot cheaper than new subs\enclosure.. Good idea on disconnecting it. Once everything is setup properly I'll look into that. Reconnecting it from inside might be a pain however.. I would ask your insurance company, that sounds really weird to me. i would use screws like this I'm sure they'll cover damage, if not it's better than having your rates go way up if there is a next time. With the square screws you can fit a small crew driver in and take em out, labor intensive, but for a crook it would be worth it.
  5. You should just unplug it all together, thats what i did, this is the safest way to do it. Use safety screws or Torx screw heads to secure anything and everything. If they really want to get to your trunk they'll just tear the lock out completely. So your best bet is to secure everything down with torx screws. Worst thing they can do is tear the woofers up, a recone costs less than a new woofer.
  6. i'd probably go for the alternator contact rob at DC Power Engineering Inc, They make some insane alternators.
  7. Don't constantly bump you're stuff, we'll get to you. I know Optima Makes side post terminals, Kinetik does, and I'm pretty sure XS does. You can always add a second battery to your trunk, I also would invest in the big 3 and a High Output Alternator.

  9. if you get one The SSA family will flame you. A smaller battery such as the Kinetik Hc600 is better than a larger capacitor.
  10. You need bass to get a girl wet........... sounds like she likes the DJ to get her wet more than you she just usin u as foreplay! DAMN!!!! hahaha And Duran I do a 149.1 at 30Hz!! BISH 160 at 20 hz
  11. I'd be careful with those Type-R's I'm not sure how they do with being burped on more than quadruple their power. IICRC they're only 2.5" coils, not really made for SPL. Also if you blow them, they are PAPERWEIGHTS Alpine does not make recones. I know this for a fact, friend had 4 alpine type R 12's, called em' they won't recone them nor do they sell the recones. Also no one I know of actually makes the recones for them.
  12. One word, Eargasams.

  17. A couple years back when my dad was doing some freelance Electrical Engineering we had about 3-4 of those fluke meters in our basement . He was developing something for Firefighters, it's been so long, i barely can remember though, they were some fun.
  18. you need something that will do AC amps (Volts)x(amps)= watts. Also its usually not necessary to calibrate using a DMM because you can easily tell when there is clipping, most of us do it by ear.
  19. Uhhh Sean, should you tell us something?
  20. Make sure it's wired down lower than the amp can handle. some of those AP amps can only handle 2 ohms, and some 1 ohm.

You can run pretttyyy much any Windows program on Ubuntu i'm liking the Newegg.com - SONY VAIO F Series VPCF121FX/B NoteBook Intel Core i7 740QM(1.73GHz) 16.4" 4GB Memory DDR3 1066 500GB HDD 5400rpm BD Combo NVIDIA GeForce 310M 4GB ram 512MB dedicated video memory, Win 7, Blue Ray Drive.
