  1. very painless, customer service grade A+++. They'll usually answer your questions in 1 day or less. I owned the BL and had it beating on my Saz-3000d @ 2 ohms getting +1.5kwrms daily.
  2. I owned the BL and personally loved it. Every L7 i've heard sounds like utter shit. IMHO
  3. I've always heard 6th order sound like poop for daily, and if not built to exact they sound crappy too lol.
  4. i thought FI strongly recommendeds not to seal the btls
  5. I'm planning on building a wall in my Lumina, I'm in need of a design. My set up will consist of 1 DC power engineering 270 amp alternator,~3 deka intemidators, 2 Audioque HDC3 18's in a 12 Cuft wall with a removable port tuned to 38 for daily and higher for comp. Lastly to power the subs a Sundown Audio 3000d. here are some specs with pictures included. Pictures w/ measurements Height: 37 in Width: 29 in and at the curve 38 in from the hump to the roof is 38 in 33 in from rear deck to seats 46 in from bottom of the floor to the ceiling 55 inch from door to door More pictures (P.S. I know my carpet is dirty. M5 already made it apparent)
  6. they're are a cd on Itunes called "tuner challenge" you get a nice set of tones/bass testers for only 10 dollars.
  7. Thanks Jacob, I had a good feeling that they had been soldered on the bottom. I was just worried, Thank you.
  8. The mosfets? that doesnt make any sense; please clarify.
  9. Fourth order bandpass is going to be the best way to do it IMHO. what woofer are you planning on using with it?
  10. I was talking to my father who is an Electrical Engineer and has extensive experience with things of this nature. He says they're probably soldered on the bottom also.
  11. oh yeah i got it repaired awhile back ago, before i sold my BL, it still works and beats but since i sold my BL it's been in my room. Thats why i decided to take a peek.
  12. I purchased my amplifier from Db-r, The day i got it i hooked it up it blew and started smoking. I sent it in to Db-R they fixed it; The guys at Db-R said the power input was soldered too long and it burnt up and smoked my power supply. They replaced everything under warranty. Today (12/25/09) I opened my Saz-3000d and was just looking around at Sundown's beautiful job at designing/making amplifiers and found this. as you can see the MOSFET's most are soldered in on the top, but there are a few that are not. Is this something to be worried about?
  13. I'd get a Projector but i'd be worried about burning out the bulb. At school They have projectors and one of my teachers said one of their bulbs are aprox 500-800 each
  14. My Knukonceptz RCA's have a remote wire built in them they're pretty cheap. i believe the lead wire is aprox 16-18 gauge wire, pretty small too
  15. i only run a set of comps for up front no rear speakers lol
  16. check these out, they're cheap and good http://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-DB6501-6-5-Inch-Component/dp/B000P0R6LQ only 100 dollars a set
  17. Some of the members do come off arsehoish, but i wouldn't take any offence, some of the most arsehoish people are some of the most intelligent, you just have to be consice and give us good info
  18. you could also buy another sub, or you can get your sub reconded to dual 2
  19. Ah, what kind of power are you going to be running to them? I agree with Jay-cee, a small crazy loud set up would be nice, and less expensive. what vehicle will it be going in?
  20. Hifonics BXi 2610D does 1700 watts at 2 ohms for $359.99 from sonicelextronix,
  21. Agreed, the sundown already puts out 2000+ watts on a good electrical, if one isn't enough buy a second Saz-2000d. Trust me you don't want that surprise. It'll make a grown man cry. buy the Saz-2000d from db-r Linky Link Link 382+ shipping refurbished amp. You can try it by all means, you just want to watch out and as soon as you drop it down below 1 ohm, its void of warrenty.
  22. Im the smaller setup individual who likes for it to get loud, that is more impressive to me. To me it is a lose lose situation if you have 16 subs and break 160 because it should break it and then if you dont then why didnt you? So that is how I look at it, but everyone has there own opinions. To me the most impressive setups I seen is the dude on here who break 150's with two tens and now Jacob with the 8" doing over 150db's, now that is impressive. That is very true. you could do a small set up with gobs of power. I saw a guy at a local shop with two tens, people were thinking he had 2 15's but when he folded his seat down it revealed two tens, which is very impressive. What woofers/amps will you be using?
  23. Sundown doesn't cover .5 ohm loads on their amps anymore, i wouldn't risk frying a $500 amplifier.
  24. Especially if you keep your friends in check and they respect you that wont happen at all. Clean up when something spills and you wont have that problem and that is what floor mats are for to keep the floor even cleaner (you can always buy new mats if they get dirty but not a whole layer of carpet for your floor). Many A-drunken nights, I'm still in school, this is my first car, i'm not really too concerned with it. I got the car like that (for free) I didn't complain.
