  1. well, if you're in a rush you can wire it under your car, i did this for awhile but i wouldn't suggest it. if you cannot find a preexisting hole you gotta' drill one. get bushings so the wire doesn't get cut on the raw metal. i personally drilled a hole where your feet go where the pedals are, i moved the carpet out of the way and drilled a whole, rerouted the wire and then caulked it all up, hot glue works quite well too.

  6. Julian posted a topic in Sundown Audio
Just a quick question on the Saz 3000d is it a MINIMUM for a 300 amp fuse or is it it MUST be a 300 amp fuse? Thanks, Julian

I've been told more port area and higher tuning.

two ports? or is it getting like an insert like a removeable port?
  9. 300 amp alt from Iraggi is 339. so im pretty sure its a little less than that Also have you tried calling around local shops that rebuild alternators and make them more-beefier? i know of a place around here that does; but i think they went out of business not to long ago.
  10. fixed sorry.
  11. what ive noticed foreign cars alternators are EXTREMELY expensive though for my Chevy Lumina it's around 300 dollars or so for 250 amp alternator sorry for the confusion
  12. i ran that brutus on 4 gauge as you know if i can remember correctly that wire handles between 125-150 Amps i barely had dimming. bigger is always better
  13. you may get a db increase if you make the hole into the cab more aerodynamic maybe some pvc that's cut in half or some aluminum tape.
  14. Both great companies, set your gains right for the Sundown and it'll treat you, plus it does rated power + more I personally love Sundown just cause i own the 3000d new heat sink model. built like a beast buy it cheap refurbished b-stock from www.db-r.com got mine for 571 with shipping
  15. finding out how sick independent audio companies are! Love the site.
  16. try www.parts-express.com Actually found it for you RCA stuff click me!
  17. just as you would an amp + to + then - to - then run the same wire size to the amp. pretty simple it wont, but after LONG abuse it may. but there is someone around here running 6,000 watts on a stock alt.
  18. I have a 15 inch fi bl and im pretty satisfied with it. beats like no other,
  19. a local guy was hitting 160 on music i think atleast 12 12inch Db drive subwoofers. pretty crazy, had about 20 or so kinetiks, 4/0 etc
  20. x2 There is no harm in under powering subwoofers, and if its not enough buy another amplifier and link em' I've learned you dont have to push the subs to their limits.
  21. Nope big 3 is from alternator + to battery Alternator - to chassis the chassis to - terminal on battery (I used 1/0 wire). if you don't plan on runnning your system with your car off you should go with the Deka batteries they're half the price and do 100 AH's per 9a31 batteries for 187 and shipping.
  22. if you do get the Sundown make sure you have the electrical for it, batteries, big 3, H/0 alt etc this is what the 4500 is pushing in terms of power 3100 Watts @ 1 ohm nominal rising to 2.67 ohms on 14.4v dropping to 13.6 volts 4650 Wats @ 0.25 ohm nominal rising to 0.71 ohms on 14.4v dropping to 11.6 volts
  23. Yeah, i think so, but i dont have my sub stage and front stage battling over who is louder, so its pretty goddamn loud but its pretty even and nice. I have not had the pleasure to play with the BTLS but the little brother the bl is pretty crazy sub, you could always do two Bl's on a SAZ-3000d buy it refurbished from www.db-r.com 555 before shipping b-stock. that's what i spent
  24. They're great, my amp barely gets warm running at 2 ohms pushing 1500+ watts rms on a fi bl 15
